"Must say I had the most wonderful day at Jane's place. After a warm welcome myself and the other Raku virgins settled into a relaxed, informative, busy and very productive fun day, producing work which we were all very proud of. My introduction to Raku was an eye opener, I loved it and would highly recommend Jane's course to anyone with an interest. I am now looking forward to my next visit to one of Jane's Pottery courses.Thanks Jane."

"My wife and I have been on two raku days which we thoroughly enjoyed - please see my wife's review on Jane's raku course. Jane also gave me half a day's instruction on throwing, something I have only had a go at once before. She explained how to centre, how to use my hands as tools, helping me apply the correct amount of pressure, how to brace arms against the wheel and how to feel and understand the nature of the clay. By the end, and with her expert hands-on help, I had successfully thrown two pots and feel I have the confidence and knowledge to practice on my own. I can highly recommend this course."

"Jane is a warm and welcoming lady who lives and breathes raku. Her lifetime of experience and enthusiasm shines from the minute you step through the archway into her wonderfully creative and knowledgeable world. She immerses you in a hands-on experience that enables you to truly understand the nature of raku glazing and firing, encouraging you to take part from the onset. She provided me with the skills and confidence to have a go myself back home, returning for a second day a month or so later to consolidate what I had achieved and discuss my mistakes. Jane also taught me further raku techniques to have fun with. It's refreshing to attend a course that enables you to do it for real rather than stand around watching an instructor do everything ... and in such a welcoming lovely environment too. I highly recommend this course and hope to return again in the spring for even more."

"I had such a fantastic and creative time with Jane and the other potters, I came for the morning session and stayed for the whole day! Jane is a great teacher. She made me feel very relaxed despite my lack of experience. I came away with two beautiful hares that I was capable of producing. Jane encouraged me to watch the raku process and everyone shared in everyone's successes. A lovely group of people in a relaxing setting. The groups meet weekly but were very welcoming to a visitor passing through. I would strongly encourage anyone to go along - whatever you consider your skill level to be. I learnt such a lot about the how's and why's of pottery through Jane's infectious, joyful passion for her medium and her own pieces are just stunning. My only regret... I live 300 miles away so can't go back every week!"

"We visited Jane to give raku a try for my partners birthday because we had always wanted to give it a go. We had the fabulous day that really gave us an insight into what raku can achieve and the different methods that can be used. We would love to return to continue our raku education with Jane who is a true master. I have thoroughly recommend this course to others on my general pottery course."

"i have been to two Raku days at Janes and thoroughly enjoy every minute of it, it never fails to amaze me at the way Raku turns out , Jane is an Excellent teacher and makes every one so welcome , I also attend her weekly pottery classes witch are great I wouldn't miss any of it ."

"Absolutely brilliant day! Jane is a fantastic tutor and you get to try lots of different techniques in a very encouraging atmosphere. I really loved every minute of the day and can't wait to come back. Would thoroughly recommend this day to anyone - and also recomend people to look at Jane's website as her own work is lovely."
