I have been turning wood since just before the end of the last century. I have been demonstrating turning at home and overseas for 20 years and teaching it for over 15 years. I have written many articles for the woodturning press and for the web. In 2011 I was awarded the Tony Boase Tribute award at the AWGB international seminar. I am an AWGB approved tutor and a tutor assessor. My aim is to provide you with the knowledge and techniques to take your woodturning to the next level and I teach all levels from complete beginners to experts.

"A great experience. Paul is highly knowledgable and communicates his instructions in as simple a way as possible. I had a whale of a time trying to shape the vase so it looked one. "Great welcoming atmosphere from the moment the door opened. Well equipped workshop and excellent tuition from Paul. Instruction were clear, precise and easy to follow. Paul has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Safety equipment and wear along with all materials and tools provided for a perfect day. Lashings of tea and coffee provided throughout the day and we sat down to a lovely lunch. Went home very happy with two items made during the day. Great experience and highly recommended, I’ve already signed up for another day with Paul."

We had a big gap in experience levels of the people on the course, which Paul managed very well. Would recommend this course for anyone who wants a taster of wood turning"
