I spent a lovely day on Saturday with Rosie, making and learning about soap. Rosie made the whole process very straightforward and covered everything from sourcing natural ingredients to the safety aspects and even touched on some of the legal aspects if you want to sell your product (even though this wasn't the business course). Personally, I was just looking to add soap making to my list of crafting hobbies although one of the other attendees was looking to build a business so it was to Rosie's credit that she was able to meet both of our needs.
Rosie also provided a light lunch, snacks and refreshments throughout the day and course notes. So there is no need to bring anything with you.
I can thoroughly recommend this workshop.

Response from Organik Orangutan:Thank you Christine for your lovely review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the workshop and it was lovely to meet you. I hope you carry on making your lovely soap. Rosie
My daughter and I completed the soap making course last week. The whole day was a pleasure from start to finish. Rosie made us very welcome and had adapted things as it was the hottest day of the year.
We came away with 2 wonderful blocks of soap each, one perfumed and one exfoliater. We were given lots of choice so we were be able to custom our soaps to our own tastes. Rosie has so much knowledge about soaps and creams and she taught us much more than just making a bar of soap. We had a lovely lunch and plenty of drinks and yummy cakes (gluten free) throughout the day. It was lovely to meet all the animals and talk about Rosie's passion for Orangutans. I paid for the course as a birthday treat for my daughter and would highly recommend it as a fun, interesting and ethical day.

Had a wonderful day at Rosie's on Saturday. Learnt lots about oil based organic skincare formulation, and it was great to put theory into practice by making four different products: facial & body moisturisers and facial & body oils. Lunch was delicious and homemade: vegetable & quinoa soup with sourdough bread followed by a vegan chocolate cake. It was so lovely to meet the animals too- after feeding Felix the horse carrots, he gave me kisses in return!

A lovely enjoyable day, very well organised.
Home made soup and sourdough for lunch, plenty of refreshments through the day.
We made 4 different products and blended our own essential oils from Rosie's supply.
This was a really great course. We went away with a full handout of recipes and how to make our own products at home.
Rosie tutoring is excellent and I felt confident I would be able to make my own butters, moisturisers and scented facial oils at home.

After the rush of Christmas, this review is slightly belated, however I wanted to say how enjoyable the soap making workshop was. Even though there was a mix up on the booking and wasn’t expected, I was welcomed with tea and cakes and Rosie made it possible for me to make my soap. Thank you Rosie, I thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Spent last Saturday afternoon at your soap-making workshop. Thank you so much for bringing this great workshop to where we live in Isleworth. We were a big group of ten and you were so well organised and fully equipped for us. The whole experience was great fun and we learnt a lot as well as coming away with a batch of beautiful handmade soap each. We all want to do it again and hope you will come back in the New Year with your skin care workshop.
All the best

I had a great day making soaps and skincare products with Rosie. She was able to host a bespoke day for me which which had a combination of soap making in the morning, followed by a lovely lunch, then an afternoon of making skincare products such as body butters, face creams, face oils and body oils, all wrapped up with some tea and cake! She also kindly gave me one of her soaps for my babies eczema :) Rosie was knowledgeable in each subject and professional in her approach. I'd recommend Rosie if you are hoping to make some products of your own or for a potential business prospect. Thanks again for the lovely day!

My niece and I had a wonderful time learning how to needle felt with Rosie at this workshop. She is a great teacher and provides all the equipment and materials needed to create a felted soap and brooch. Following just a mornings tuition, my niece made two hanging felted hearts when she got home.
Thank you Rosie.

Response from Organik Orangutan:Hi Gillian
Had an absolutely fantastic time on the course yesterday. Rosie is an absolute delight who made me feel so welcome from the moment I arrived. I was extremely fortunate to be the only one on the course so it really felt like I was on the receiving end of some excellent information, though I’m sure it’s just as enjoyable if there is a group of you as well. Rosie is a font of knowledge and the course runs through all of the background about soap history, the equipment and the chemistry involved, why Rosie doesn’t use any palm oil in her soaps and a wealth of other information. I also enjoyed a delicious lunch and snacks and we had a good natter over a cup of tea! My soaps were carefully packaged up for me to take home and I cannot wait for them to cure so I can try them out. I thoroughly recommend this course and would love to have a go on her skincare workshop when I can.
