« More about this course organiser
An absolutely fabulous workshop. If you are thinking about whether you should, don't hesitate!
From the first moment, the friendly professionalism is evident. You will receive a pack in the post which smells divine. On the day, you follow the link to the online live session and follow every step together with Rosie and other participants. Throughout the session, during which you are guided step-by-step, Rosie adds answers to all those questions which you have wondered about over the years. My teenage daughter and I attended together and both enjoyed the morning immensely.
Response from Organik Orangutan:
Hi Natalie and GraceI was on this course last week. It was a great experience, and I'm really pleased with the end products. I'd never done anything like this before, but Rose took us through the process in very clear steps, making it fun and accessible for beginners!
I received a package with the ingredients a few days beforehand, with a list of basic kitchen utensils that would be needed. All the packaging is sustainable, and Rose was really informative about the ingredients, and answered all our questions during the workshop.
I'm really happy with the end products (bath melts and body butter). They're lovely to use, and it's great to know that they're cruelty free and organic. Would definitely recommend!
Response from Organik Orangutan:
Hi Fohla thank you for your lovely review. So glad you enjoyed the workshop and your finished products. Hope to see you again on another workshop. Take care. Rosie xTook this online course on Friday. It was such a diverting, practical and fun course. I learnt such a lot about different oils and butters. Rosie sent all the organic ingredients and some equipment several days before. You just need a few basic kitchen utensils to hand. It worked brilliantly on zoom. The participants could see each other and Rosie, who came across loud and clear, taking us through each step calmly and expertly. By the end of the two hours, that flew by, I had a jar of gorgeous Lemongrass and Bergamot body butter and 10 body/bath melts. I highly recommend this course. It's a lovely thing to do with family and friends that we can't see at the moment too. I felt really connected to them.
Response from Organik Orangutan:

Take care Rosie xFascinating and fun online organic skincare workshop this morning with Rosie from Organik Orangutan - all ethical, organic and cruelty free. We made a lush body butter with the kit she posts out to you (in sustainable packaging) including all the ingredients and your chosen essential oil scent. You just need everyday kitchen equipment and you're away. Very enjoyable mix of chemistry and cosmetics! Rosie is a brilliant engaging teacher and very patient with all our questions. I highly recommend this workshop and I'm definitely going to sign up for another one :)

Thank you Antonia, really pleased you enjoyed it and hope you enjoy the products you made. Rosie :)I thoroughly enjoyed the soap making course. Rosie is passionate about using natural ingredients on our skin. The course was very well organised. All my questions were answered and Rosie was very generous with her knowledge. Cherry on the cake : I came home with two bars of lovely soap. Now, I can't wait to try it at home. Thanks for everything Rosie.
Response from Organik Orangutan:
Thank you France,it was lovely to meet you. The two moulds you took home should give you about 12 soaps, so plenty to last you a while :) RosieMy friend and I spent the afternoon with Rosie learning how to make soap. We started with some basic instructions and went through health and safety aspects before we made the most amazing selection of beautiful soaps, fragranced with organic essential oils. Rosie was extremely generous with her knowledge and we left feeling that we would be more than capable of making our own soap at home. Thank you so much Rosie for such a wonderful time. It would be lovely to return to do the skin care course too. And thank you also for the delicious food that you got in especially, it was very much appreciated.
Response from Organik Orangutan:
Hi Helen Thank you for your review. It was lovely to meet you both. Glad you enjoyed the workshop. Look forward to seeing you on the Skincare workshop Rosie xI spent a lovely day on Saturday with Rosie, making and learning about soap. Rosie made the whole process very straightforward and covered everything from sourcing natural ingredients to the safety aspects and even touched on some of the legal aspects if you want to sell your product (even though this wasn't the business course). Personally, I was just looking to add soap making to my list of crafting hobbies although one of the other attendees was looking to build a business so it was to Rosie's credit that she was able to meet both of our needs.
Rosie also provided a light lunch, snacks and refreshments throughout the day and course notes. So there is no need to bring anything with you.
I can thoroughly recommend this workshop.
Response from Organik Orangutan:
Thank you Christine for your lovely review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the workshop and it was lovely to meet you. I hope you carry on making your lovely soap. RosieMy daughter and I completed the soap making course last week. The whole day was a pleasure from start to finish. Rosie made us very welcome and had adapted things as it was the hottest day of the year.
We came away with 2 wonderful blocks of soap each, one perfumed and one exfoliater. We were given lots of choice so we were be able to custom our soaps to our own tastes. Rosie has so much knowledge about soaps and creams and she taught us much more than just making a bar of soap. We had a lovely lunch and plenty of drinks and yummy cakes (gluten free) throughout the day. It was lovely to meet all the animals and talk about Rosie's passion for Orangutans. I paid for the course as a birthday treat for my daughter and would highly recommend it as a fun, interesting and ethical day.
Response from Organik Orangutan:
Hi LynnHad a wonderful day at Rosie's on Saturday. Learnt lots about oil based organic skincare formulation, and it was great to put theory into practice by making four different products: facial & body moisturisers and facial & body oils. Lunch was delicious and homemade: vegetable & quinoa soup with sourdough bread followed by a vegan chocolate cake. It was so lovely to meet the animals too- after feeding Felix the horse carrots, he gave me kisses in return!

Hi SharnaA lovely enjoyable day, very well organised.
Home made soup and sourdough for lunch, plenty of refreshments through the day.
We made 4 different products and blended our own essential oils from Rosie's supply.
This was a really great course. We went away with a full handout of recipes and how to make our own products at home.
Rosie tutoring is excellent and I felt confident I would be able to make my own butters, moisturisers and scented facial oils at home.
Thanks Rosie

Thank you Juliet and Amelia, it was lovely to meet you both.I had a great day making soaps and skincare products with Rosie. She was able to host a bespoke day for me which which had a combination of soap making in the morning, followed by a lovely lunch, then an afternoon of making skincare products such as body butters, face creams, face oils and body oils, all wrapped up with some tea and cake! She also kindly gave me one of her soaps for my babies eczema :) Rosie was knowledgeable in each subject and professional in her approach. I'd recommend Rosie if you are hoping to make some products of your own or for a potential business prospect. Thanks again for the lovely day!
