Maker's bio

Marie-Paule worked for 30 years as a technical translator before taking a leap into the mosaic world. She is now a professional mosaicist using glass, stained glass, marble and smalti, as well as recycled materials to create colourful and vibrant mosaics. She offers small group workshops in a convivial and friendly atmosphere in her home. Single or multiple group sessions, one to one tuition on request.

"I attended a mosaics workshop with Marie-Paule and had a really great time. She was welcoming, patient and made every effort to find colours and textures I liked. "What a fantastic afternoon! My first try at mosaics so it was great to be guided by such an experienced and likeable expert. Marie-Paule is very knowledgeable, approachable and goes out of her way to help. Every possible resource was made available and it was just so enjoyable to be in a supportive environment as I'm far from being an artist! Great to see all Marie-Paule's amazing mosaics in her home too. I'm inspired and can't thank her enough."

"We had a wonderful afternoon with Marie-Paule. So may choices of which mosaic to try, such an array of colours, tiles, textures and many tools! Marie-Paule gave us expert advice on how to produce a mosaic as well as some of the interesting history behind mosaics of the past. Her hospitality and home were charming and the tile just flew by! Would love to come again. "
