"My friend and I really enjoyed the course. As complete beginners we were able to choose what we would like to make, told about the tools we would use, and shown various techniques. The course was run at a pace to suit everyone from beginners to those who had knowledge of needle felting. Louise was very welcoming, there was no pressure and, after a few giggles, at the end we produced something we were very proud of. Thank you Louise for a very enjoyable afternoon."

"A perfect venue for a relaxing day making a hare. Needle felting is a new skill to me but Louise guided us through all of the different techniques required with ease. Thanks for a wonderful day."

"I had a magical time felting at Mount Pleasant, only two of us that particular day so we made a slightly larger hare, great to see its form appearing as we continued to felt the lovely wool. Louise was very patient, and with the garden around us it made for a relaxing day while learning a new skill. Many thanks for a great day."

"This is the second time that I have attended Louise's felting course. It was so good the first time (making a hare) that I immediately signed up for another go (making a sheep). On both occasions I attended on my own and just felt so comfortable joining this group of people I had never met before. No airs and graces, just down to earth good company and creativity with like minded people. We were supplied with all materials needed (which we also took home with us) and given that we all had the same equipment, came out with individual sheep that we could be proud of - not one was the same. Once you start putting details of faces on them, they really come to life and you can put your own character into it. We were also supplied with mugs of tea (plenty of them too) and biscuits in the morning, cake in the afternoon. I highly recommend this course to anyone wanting some quality time in beautiful surroundings with an instructor who makes it seem so easy."

"My original felting day was cancelled due to limited numbers so I was delighted to be able to attend a course with Louise at Frodsham and to discover the topic was a Herdwick sheep I was ecstatic as we used to have some when I was a child. Louise was an amazing patient tutor who clearly loves what she does. I adored the day and didn't want it to end but was so happy to come home with my little sheep now named Herbert. Now hooked on felting. Joe Hagan"

"As complete beginners to needlefelting we found this day workshop very informative and fun. Louise was very helpful and ensured that everyone knew what they were doing. The 6 hours flew by and at the end of the day we had transformed our wool into a lovely Herdwick sheep."

"A fantastic way to spend a day learning how to needle felt a realistic felt animal in a relaxed and friendly environment. The standard of tuition is excellent, allowing beginners to learn a new skill, or more experienced felters to develop their techniques. The venue is great and if you can drag yourself away from the felting, it is well worth taking a stroll round the beautiful gardens at Mount Pleasant. Refreshments were plentiful and the scones delicious! I can highly recommend Louise's courses."

"I had a brilliant day felting with Louise making a White Face Woodland sheep. I have done a little bit of felting in the past and this course is brilliant for anyone who wants to have a go whether you are an expert or not. Louise was very patient explaining the process, while also providing hot drinks and cake. Would definitely go again!!"

"I had been unsuccessful in booking a place on one of Louise’s courses, until she contacted me to offer me a place on a group booking that she had ( whose members didn’t mind me tagging along!). I had never tried felting before, but found it great fun and very relaxing! Louise was a great tutor and I was thrilled with my Robin! It was a lovely day in a beautiful location and the cake was very tasty too! I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who has an interest in crafts ."

"This felting course with Louise is great fun! I am a beginner, and love trying new stuff. This was a lovely morning, and she made me feel really welcome and at ease (as I went by myself) to have ago. I went for the badger workshop, where she provided warm cuppas, cake and all the equipment and material. Louise also told us about why and where she sources her materials, which was really interesting. From this you can tell she is passionate about felting and sharing her talent with others. Plus a ticket into their amazing garden afterwards finished the day off nicely."

"I cannot recommend this course highly enough! I had always wanted to have a go at needle felting (since I saw it on Kirsty Allsop's programme) but had never had the confidence to do it on my own. Louise is such a lovely lady and a very patient tutor and I learnt loads about this fabulous craft. The puffin I made is perfect and you can see on her website all the animals you can make at her workshops are so realistic. The materials she uses are really top quality and you took away needles and a felting pad so you could carry on at home. It was also a really fun day, as we all chatted with Louise and each other having coffee and cake as we worked. The setting is beautiful too and you can wander around the gorgeous garden when you have a break. Louise's course is also way way cheaper than any others I have seen. Book now you won't regret it!"

"My friend and I had a great day felting with Louise. I had done a little felting before and my friend was a complete beginner. The course was suitable for both of us as Louise gave patient help as required. I came away with a squirrel and my friend made a badger. All materials and equipment were included in the price and we came away with a needles and sponge too. It was a very enjoyable and creative day."

"I attended a class in Felting Mice, with Louise at Mount Pleasant in September 2017. I had a wonderful day and learned lots from Louise. I had previously tried to make a felted mouse on my own, I watched YouTube videos, but was very unsure of what I was doing and decided that I needed some proper tuition. The mice were important to me, as I wanted to make them as a small hand made gift for my son and his bride on their wedding day. I dressed the groom in a kilt (the same tartan that my son was wearing) and the bride with a lace veil and a tiny bouquet. They were a huge success, chiefly because Louise took a great deal of time to show me any technique that I was unsure of. Louise is a very calm, friendly lovely person. She obviously loves felting, her own models are exquisite! She loves sharing her skill and expertise with her students. The class is relaxed and lots of fun. It is non competitive, and Louise ensured that all students received the attention needed. I never felt that I was being a nuisance when I asked questions and I was delighted with the mouse I made at the class and enjoyed making another at home. I have since made several robins, from a kit I bought from Louise, they too are lovely and I found the instructions in the kit easy to follow. I am looking forward to attending another course very soon. It is a great day out, good value for money, and the cake and coffee at Mount Pleasant is delicious too! Thanks Louise!"

"I loved the course. It was very informative but also relaxed. Louise is very approachable and passionate about felting. I have booked another course to increase my knowledge and didn’t hesitate to return to one of Louise’s courses. It is also good value and there is a very generous amount of wool to work with which is included in the price."

"In October 2017 I attended a robin felting workshop at Mount Pleasant with 5 friends. We all loved the day and came away with a beautiful little robin each. I'm not in the least bit artistic, so I was amazed that I could make such a lovely robin, with help from Louise. Louise is a great, hands-on teacher - she patiently took us through each step of how to needle felt, which none of us had ever done before. The cakes we're delicious too!"
