"A fantastic tutor in all things mosaic, Frances has a wealth of knowledge & years of experience. I did a days course making a stepping stone, she was so patient and full of tips and advice. Already started another project and will attend Frances’s workshop on a monthly basis. Highly recommend."

"We enjoyed the whole day. From learning the techniques, mastering tool and materials to Frances' ability to create a relaxed atmosphere, in which we both made pieces we are delighted with. Photos to follow Frances! Thanks again. Recommended to beginner or someone with skills. Frances will adapt."

"Hi Helen, thanks so much. It was lovely to have you and I am so glad you enjoyed it. Your mosaics are great. Looking forward to the in situ, grouted photos!"

"I really enjoyed this course with Frances who I found to be an insightful and helpful tutor. There was an amazing amount of tiles in different textures, colours and shapes, together with templates and other materials. The workshop had a range of Frances's work for examples and inspiration. The setting in the midst of colourful cottage gardens and by the river was extremely pleasant. Thank you Frances for a wonderful course and day."

Mosaic Mania responded:

"Thank you Nikki! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I hope the rest of your trip went well. "

"We enjoyed a one day course back in July. We were absolute beginners but Francis gave us all the information and guidance we needed to get started. It was a lot of fun and rewarding designing and putting together a bespoke product."

"An excellent full day course that we organised for a group of six. Instructions were really clear for both our first time mosaic and our second time mosaic group members. The range of materials was really useful as each of our group had very different designs in mind. Frances offered advice and guidance throughout the day, she spotted possible issues and gave alternative solutions. Everyone was really pleased with their final pieces and once grouted they looked really effective. Would recommend Frances and her workshops to all ages and abilities."

"I did the half-day workshop and it was a great introduction to mosaic making. Frances is very knowledgeable and encouraging and I’m pleased with my first mosaic creation! Most of our group did the full-day workshop and produced some lovely things (some of us went back a few days later to grout our work) and with hindsight I wish I’d done the full-day too. If you fancy spending a few hours doing something creative and relaxing in convivial company, I’d recommend you give one of Frances’ workshops a go."

"I was very dubious in my own ability to start with, but Frances immediately put me at ease. With her expert tuition and guidance I learned to cut the glass tiles and put them together to make a beautiful mosaic which I will always treasure. I also found it a very mindful experience in a most tranquil and peaceful setting. I would thoroughly recommend the course to all and look forward to a bigger challenge next time!"

"I've often admired mosaics both ancient and modern but it took Frances to persuade me that I should have a go myself. I was already familiar with the high standard of her own work but my recent session demonstrated that she is equally adept at teaching beginners and doubtless others who have got beyond the nursery slopes. It was a very enjoyable way of spending a few hours and if you want a friendly and knowledgeable approach to decorating your villa or indeed anything else, then I can wholeheartedly recommend that you start with Frances."

"It began with a beginners day course and now I'm hooked. Working in Frances's studio in the garden by the river, it's the perfect way to create your own mosaic designs. Her tuition is excellent and helps point you in the right direction with her vast experience."

"Frances is a terrific mosaic artist and has that rare ability to coax the creative streak out of absolutely everyone who attends her courses. She also creates a fun, nurturing environment, and nothing is too much trouble for her. Having been on one of her beginner's courses and having thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience with lots of other lovely newbies, I am now an enthusiastic convert to mosaicking!"

"I started as a complete novice on a Sunday course and it was excellent. Frances is very good at what she does - a fab mosaic artist, a great teacher and good company. I would recommend her mosaic courses to anyone at whatever level they are at. Her studio is a perfect place to get creative in the company of an interesting mix of people."

"I would 100% recommend Frances Taylor's mosaic classes. For a start the studio has a river view and that combined with the lovely coffee and biscuits sets the scene for a very enjoyable time. Whether you are a beginner with no idea what to make or someone who has a definite idea, Frances will help you with just the right amount of input - she is very artistic but also very good technically so has an answer for every query. Last but not at all least the sessions are great fun and very relaxing - if you are stressed or fed up , you will feel wonderful by the end - it's the best sort of therapy!"

"I had always wanted to try mosaicing and was delighted when I found this opportunity locally. It doesn't matter whether you think you are creative or not. It's possible to make something simple in a short time and progress on to any number of projects. It's very addictive and hugely rewarding. Frances is delightful, friendly and very helpful, always on hand to guide and help. The classes are friendly, relaxed and fun. Give it a go and I promise you won't regret it."

"If you've ever wondered how on earth the romans created those magnificent mosaics, and thought 'I couldn't do that', I can honestly recommend this course. You'll soon be creating mosaics you'll be proud to display in your house, as well as solving the Christmas present problem for that awkward Aunt and Uncle who seem to have everything! If like me, you can't draw anything, it's not a problem. Frances is a brilliant artist, who will take you through the entire procedure from beginning to end, and will indeed, even draw the design you want. This is a fun course for anyone wanting to try something new, whilst at the same time, giving you an opportunity to meet new people. One word of caution though. Once you try this course, you'll be hooked forever! WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS COURSE - YES DEFINITELY"

"Have now done a couple of courses and thoroughly enjoyed them. I was stunned to see how someone like myself with no artistic talent can actually produce something which I am proud to show off in my home. Would highly recommend to all, Frances is a patient teacher and makes the time fly by so quickly as the courses are fun and entertaining - the endless supply of coffee and biscuits didn't hurt! Can't wait to sign up for another."
