"We spent a lovely day with Laura and James on the Raku taster course. We decorated four pots in different styles, having enormous fun in the process. We immediately booked ourselves on to the Saggar firing day. Laura and James were very welcoming and the location at Hall Farm was perfect. In summary, a great day out!"

"My wife met Laura when visiting an art exhibition locally, where she was displaying her products and the two got talking. We had previously had a taster ‘throwing’ weekend a couple of years ago at Eastnor Pottery in Gloucester and thoroughly enjoyed it, but not really had the chance to follow our experience up, so arranged for a Raku experience with Laura, our two daughters coming along as well. Loved it. So much so we enquired about having throwing lessons and Laura was happy to oblige. My wife and I went there yesterday and had a quality session with personal tuition. Loved the session and what we were able to produce. Having had the previous taster session probably helped, in that we weren’t complete novices, but Laura’s tuition was clear and she was there to provide instruction and help all the way though the session (3.5 hours). We are now booked to go back in two weeks to decorate our pots and have a further throwing session, and will be back in April ref 2026 - if not before - for a Saggar firing session, this one with our daughters again. We now intend to get our own wheel and Laura has been very helpful with advice and offers for further help if/when we get to the point where we might want some of our work to be fired. Thoroughly recommend. Lovely company, clear instruction, very relaxing, and at the end you have something to look at and say, “I did that!”"

"I did the Raku workshop in August this year. It was really good in every aspect. Not too many people, so you got plenty of one on one tuition, plus there were enough students to make it fun. It was very well organised to maximise what we learnt. Topped of with an amazing lunch and all in an amazing venue. Certainly worth the time and the money."

"The course was an excellent experience! Booked for my girlfriend and I for our anniversary, Laura and James greeted us warmly alongside our class mates. Laura kindly took us through the initial decoration of our pots, followed by the lovely day's process of finishing them. Populated throughout the day with drinks and tasty food, I'd highly recommend this!"

"The course was an excellent introduction to Raku Pottery, and Laura was very welcoming and friendly. The setting was also lovely, with the gardens to wander around during lunch, and the lunch provided was very nice too. I was very pleased with the results of my first attempt, and all in all it was a great day out! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to plan something a little different with friends."
