"I was on the same the same course as Den Rimmer ( see review above ) ( never met him before - great guy, bar he kept nicking my stones ;-) ) and would echo every word he's said. A very well structured two days which ran at a decent pace. I did this to scratch an itch, but like Den I am left looking to do even more. "

"This course is one of the best I have been on. It is indeed for everyone, no matter of gender, age or build. Carl imparts his wealth of knowledge with enthusiasm and humour. He teaches how to identify different types of building stone and how to lift them safely. Sharon kept us fed and watered throughout the weekend with wonderful efficiency. Fortunately the weather was perfect and the scenery is just stunning. Our group was great fun and we worked together well. But most importantly was the satisfaction and sense of achievement I felt in completing our section of the farmer's wall. A thoroughly worthwhile course."

"What a fanflippintastic course, last weekend (26th-27th April 25) I attended the dry stone walling beginners course organised by Carl & Sharon, I was 1 of 10 other attendees made up from different ages, sexes and backgrounds and we all had a blast, Carl's teaching methods are informative and relaxed which makes the whole time fun, you work alongside all other attendees and bond over the restoration of a dilapidated section of wall, located in a stunning part of the Peak District. Sharon's organising is second to none and the food and refreshments provided are just what is needed for a day in the elements. I will definitely do this again and will keep my eyes out for another course with these two wonderful folks."

"I completed a weekend beginners dry stone walling course with Carl, Sharon and a lovely group in October 2024. Everything about the weekend went above and beyond my expectations. It was clearly very throughly well thought out, Carl and Sharon had such a friendly and also professional approach. Plenty of cups of tea and snacks as well as a hearty lunch kept us going all day! I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn the craft! "
