"This was a present for my mum's birthday and we had a fantastic time. We had never tried glass beadmaking so it was all new to us. Julia explained things clearly, including safety, and it was fully hands-on. I could not believe how quickly the time went, we completely forgot to stop for snacks which is a first for me! "We really enjoyed our afternoon with Julia making glass beads! Our session began with a demonstration of how to make a basic bead using Moreno glass . Julia explained everything and safety measures were in place throughout. Once we had watched Julia make it look so easy, we got started and realised that there is a lot of skill involved. We had a work station each and spent a very enjoyable afternoon making a variety of different colours and shapes of beads. Julia was always there to help and offer suggestions and was very friendly. Would definitely recommend!"

"Took a friend on the bead making course as a birthday gift. A perfect choice. Julia was excellent – patient, encouraging, and a really good teacher. We were making beads within 20 minutes of going into the room and we enjoyed every minute of our time there, which flew by. Our finished beads arrived with us within a few days, and it’s brilliant to wear them as a bracelet and be able to say “I made them”. Can’t recommend the workshop highly enough."

"I have now done two bead making courses with Julia and have had a fantastic time on both occasions. Julia is a really good tutor; she explains and demonstrates techniques clearly and is on hand watching how things are going and gives good advice if needed. She is very encouraging and attentive. I felt I really developed some new skills under her guidance. You get going actually making beads surprisingly quickly and both times I have ended up with some beautiful work. The work is really engrossing and there is always more to learn!"

"Fantastic course! I am a complete beginner and wanted to learn the new skill of glass bead making. Found Julia's course through this website and I couldn't have made a better choice. She is excellent at explaining how to make a bead and use different techniques to personalise and decorate them. I was on making a bead within 15 minutes of entering the room and felt very supported, guided and directed throughout the session. I was really pleased with the beads I made and gave the first one to my Mom on a lovely sliver chain for her 94th birthday present. I left the day feeling like I wanted to learn and practice more. I have since done a second day with Julia and made myself some lovely earrings. I can't recommend Julia enough as an competent and encouraging instructor and the course as a great way to learn a new art or refine your existing skill."
