"Wonderful weekend immersive course that really teaches you the fundamentals of stained glass. Jude is an excellent instructor who not only outlines the steps in a clear fashion, she also explains the techniques, concepts and history behind the art of glass work in great detail. By the end of the weekend, I felt I learned enough to begin making my own stained glass at home (after purchasing materials of course). The classes are intimate with only a few students, so personalized attention is given throughout the course. Creative freedom is encouraged, and under Jude's guidance and instruction we all walked away with a stunning stained glass panel to display at home. Very much looking forward to attending her more advanced courses later in the year!"

"From just an idea, to completion of a leaded stained glass panel was such an accomplishment for me, made possible by Jude's excellent patient guidance. The class was small and studio facilities excellent, enabling us to focus wholeheartedly to learning and trying out new techniques towards a pleasing piece and art form. Jude has a pleasing and professional approach, covering aspects of history of the art and craft form, gives excellent and patient guidance taking each one from scraps of coloured glass to a delightful art piece in 2 days. I thoroughly recommend the course as a taster with a view of developing it to more ambitious projects of leaded stained glass and fusion."

"Jude is an excellent teacher and differentiates to all abilities! Despite my ineptitude I was able to produce a beautiful stained glass panel and Chris showed more creative flair but love it too. Long days, adapted so that you could finish your piece. Be warned, I was slumped for most of the next day! But what a sense of achievement. I have recommended Jude to many friends already."

"Jude is a very experienced stained glass artist and has a very well equipped studio. It was a pleasure to work with her and be taught the fundamentals about stained glass working. I’m a designer and really enjoyed the mixture between practical skills and designing with the beautiful glass that she had lots of for us to work with. It was a very busy two days and you will need a certain level of dexterity to work with the tools and methods such as glass cutting/ leading/soldering. I thoroughly enjoyed it and plan to go back for another workshop. Jude has a wealth of experience and a very good approach to teaching."

"This is a comprehensive and hands-on class covering all the basics of making a leaded glass window panel from start to finish. This includes cutting, grinding, leading, soldering, cementing and polishing the completed panel, which is yours to take home afterwards. Jude is a great teacher and the class is split well over the 2 days. She has an extensive knowledge of the history, methods and materials around stained glass, and has 30 years experience in the industry. One thing to note is that you must work from one of 4 templates for the design of the panel. If you wish to make your own design, I believe she offers a 5 day course, as it can take a considerable amount of time to create a new design and pattern. Overall it was a very enjoyable weekend trying a new medium, and I would definitely look into doing the 5-day course at some stage as well."

"We really enjoyed ourselves over the weekend with Jude - she shared her skills and expertise wisely and is a very motivating teacher. Vibrant atmosphere and well stocked studio - we learned many techniques. It would be worth going just for the tuition, but we also took home several lovely pieces we had made ourselves. This craft course is very accessible for people who like to focus on creative tasks for several hours - we came as a family pair and recommend it highly!"

"This was an excellent 2 day course that gave an opportunity to carry out every stage in making a stained glass panel. Jude explained everything very clearly and was on hand to help as people needed. Jude has a vast breath of knowledge and gave a very good insight into the wider world of stained glass. All the materials and tools were provided for the course and there was plenty of advice on selecting glass textures and colours. So all you need to bring along is yourself. It was a fabulous course and I now have my own hand made piece of stained glass hanging in my kitchen. I would definitely recommend this course to others. I would like to do more courses with Jude in the future."

"Jude's encouragement and guidance throughout the course were great. She is very knowledgeable and skilled not only in the art of stained glass but also in teaching. Jude provided us with demonstrations, constant feedback and plenty of very useful information. We could choose from a variety of materials and tools to accomplish our task. And, at the end, I was very happy with the lovely stained glass panel I was able to make with Jude's support. "I spent a very enjoyable two days learning all about the art of glass fusion in a lovely spacious studio in Vanguard Court ( also home to many local artist and studios in south London). The course is well structured, initially introducing technical information and a range of techniques for working in glass. We were then able to practice and experiment with test pieces on the first day. On the second day we built on these ideas and were able to complete our finished pieces ready for the kiln. I feel I was introduced to many design ideas that I could develop in the future. Jude is a an accomplished artist and enthusiastic teacher. Her own work is very interesting and is displayed in the studio. All in all, very enjoyable and highly recommended."
