Simon & Linda reviewed: An Introduction to bronze casting

"Linda and I really enjoyed our "Introduction to Bronze Age Casting" ... especially given Jonny's passion and experience for the subject. His knowledge doesn't stop at Bronze Casting though, we also covered a number of other subjects such as the playing of Aboriginal instruments, Flint Knapping, identifying fossils as well as "technology" in the Neanderthal, Bronze and Iron ages. Our Bronze Axe Heads currently have pride of place on our desks and we're hoping to return to participate in the other courses that Jonny offers."

Jonny Crafts Things responded:

"Glad you enjoyed the day and great chatting with you."

Jeremy reviewed: An introduction to flint knapping

"Jonny's intro to flint knapping was excellent. Just the right mix of teaching - the theory is more interesting than you'd think - and practical, fun, learning. If bashing rocks together is your idea of a good time, then this is highly recommended."

Jonny Crafts Things responded:

"Glad you enjoyed the course."

Dom Clarke reviewed: An Introduction to bronze casting

"Bought as a gift for my dad. We both had a great time learning about the dark art of metal! Jonathan was a fantastic host and teacher, happy to answer any questions and offer a real insight into the process and the history behind it. A fantastic first taste of bronze"

Keeley Sparrow reviewed: An introduction to flint knapping

"This was an excellent introduction to flint knapping. Jonny is incredibly knowledgeable about knapping but explained the processes in a very understandable way. Flint knapping is quite complex but I had great fun, even if I wasn't particularly good. I am looking forward to lots of practice at home though and have already sourced a good amount of flint to mutilate (sorry knap!!) I highly recommend this as a brilliant day to learn something new, and maybe I'll get good enough to go back for the next level. "

Vijay Khuttan reviewed: An introduction to flint knapping

"I thoroughly enjoyed the day. It was a fascinating insight into the lives of our distant ancestors. Jonny was able to impart and share with great skill the tools and technologies utilised many thousands of years ago. There was a new found respect for the ingenuity and skills required when trying this ancient art of flint knapping. There was also something very satisfying in working with this material. There was definitely a residual effect upon me. Jonny seemed to suggest it maybe in our DNA!! I thought there was a good balance between theory and practice but obviously more time would be necessary to work and develop those skills and techniques. Some fascinating people attended and I think more could have been done for interaction and working together which would be my only suggestion. "

Petra reviewed: An introduction to flint knapping

"I attended this course with a friend in April and can highly recommend it. Jonny is incredibly knowledgeable and a gifted (and patient!) instructor. You really get an insight into the prehistoric mind and you learn to look differently at those stones. By getting hands on with the practice of these ancient techniques you gain a sense of ancestral connection and continuity of human experience that is priceless in this digital age."

Jonny Crafts Things responded:

"Many thanks and glad you enjoyed the day."

Jah reviewed: An Introduction to bronze casting

"My husband and I completed the day class in bronze age heads, and we couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. The process was thorough and guided, and yet we were allowed the freedom to truly 'make our own'. Jonathan was a very hospitable host, and welcomed us into home & workshop. It was wonderful to meet with someone so passionate and knowledgeable on such a broad range of subjects. Will be back to try other courses in the NY! Thank you "

Jonny Crafts Things responded:

"Glad you enjoyed the day and had a great time making your own axes. Some interesting discussions too. Do hope to see again sometime. Best, JC"
