"Lynne and I came for a bangle and ring workshop. We had a fabulous day learning some of the techniques of silver and copper wear. Endless drinks, lots of gossip and tale telling. We managed not to burn the place down with the blowtorch and left with some individual, unique, beautiful pieces. Thank you so much for a great day. We are looking forward to our next adventure."

"I had a great day work in one to one with Jolene. She's very friendly and knowledgable. I had some ideas of what I wanted to make and she helped me work out the best way to make the earrings and bangle I made. Excellent workshop - do not hesitate to book on! "I was bought this course as a Christmas present and what a fantastic gift it was! Jolene explained the techniques, tools and safety very clearly. I felt really relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed being creative. I made three bangles for myself and a pendant for my daughter. My friend who had bought me the present joined me for the day and made two pairs of gorgeous ear-rings. After hearing about what a great time I had, My 13 year old daughter is now desperate to do the course. I’ll be booking us both in soon to enjoy something we can do together."

"Booked this course for a friend for her birthday and decided to join her. Although both of us had no experience working with copper and silver, Jolene guided us through the day, showed us how to use equipment correctly and safely and supported and encouraged us when we neeed it. We are now the proud owners of 2 copper bangles and a silver ring. Can't wait to show our friends and tell them about our fantastic day. Thanks again Jolene."

One day course making pendant & earrings reviewed: One-to-One Jewellery making course including wire work (beginners)

"I had such a lovely day at this workshop. Jolene's little studio is just adorable and there is so much inspiration in the quirky objects d'art in there. The studio is accessed via a staircase which may be difficult to climb for some. After a lovely drink and chat we started and before we knew it was time for lunch which was spent in the yard as it was a beautiful sunny day. The afternoon was spent working on other designs and I came away with 4 fabulous hand made items. I learnt so much from Jolene and she was truly inspirational. I was so pleased with my designs and have been wearing them ever since. I would love to go back again and I can certainly recommend this course."

"I booked this bangle making workshop for my mum's 60th birthday . She didnt know anything about it until Jolene explained what we would be doing/making. From the moment we arrived in the pouring rain Jolene made us feel at homewith a cup of tea. She then showed us how to make a bangle. We both made 2 copper bangles and a silver one, and as an extra we both made a silver ring . Jolene is the most patient amazing teacher allowed us to get on with it and helped when needed. I would most definitely recomand this couse. PS the brownies were amazing, out if this world. X x"

Jolene was a great tutor very supportive and happy to let us come up with our own creations, always on hand to help with the tricky bits.....silver and copper balls spring to mind. We would all thoroughly recommend this course to anyone wanting try something new, explore their creative side and come home with an individually handcrafted bangle. PS her workshop is wonderful!"

"My daughter bought me a voucher for my birthday for a one day silver jewellery workshop to make a pair of earings and pendant. I went with my friend Maragaret and not only did we come away with beautiful jewellery but learnt new skills under the excellent tuition of Jolene - the whole day was lovely and relaxed and fun - there were only three of us in the workshop so had lots of one to one attention. Jolene is very welcoming and friendly and made excellent chocolate brownies! The whole day was a joy from start to finish and I would thoroughly recommend this experience. It was also excellent value for money. I have worn my jewellery since and it has been much admired. Thanks Jolene for a great day. Terri"

"I’ve just returned home from a fantastic day with Jolene on her pendant and earring workshop. I booked the course for my mum for her birthday and booked myself on too! It’s been lovely spending the day together and we’ve both been amazed at the number of things we’ve been able to make in just the one day (and they actually look really quite ‘professional’!) - can’t wait to wear them! Jolene is fabulous, she shares her amazing workshop and all that it inspires, and has a very natural way of sharing her talents and enabling those who’ve never done anything like this before (us!) to learn lots of new skills and have fun in the process. I’ll be returning for her other courses and highly recommend this one to others!"

"My friend and I had a really lovely day with Jolene. Jolene is very friendly and an excellent teacher. I had never tried any of the techniques before, but successfully managed to make 3 bangles with her guidance, two copper in the morning, and a silver one in the afternoon. I came away feeling extremely proud of my achievements! There were only 4 of us in total on the course, so Jolene had time to assist everyone when she needed to. "There aren't enough stars to say how brilliant the course was. From the moment I arrived in Jolene's amazing, fascinating workshop - I was hooked! Jolene's instructions were so clear and she gave huge encouragement and ideas to the three of us on the course, while allowing us free range to create our own designs. Endless cups of coffee and tea and biscuits were served during the day - which passed too fast. I am already enrolled for a pendant/ear ring course having done the bracelet course. "A brilliant workshop with great tuition from Jolene. Lovely small group too so lots of one to one tuition & guidance. Opportunity to make at least 3 bangles, 2 in copper & 1 in a Sterling Silver. Jolene does a step by step demonstration to begin with taking you through the different techniques of texturing, shaping & soldering and then is on hand to help you create your own designs. Very relaxed friendly atmosphere & lots of tea, coffee & delicious brownies!"

She is a supportive and encouraging teacher and there was just the right balance of creative freedom and gentle guidance. By keeping the numbers small Jolene is able to give you loads of help at every stage of the process- if it's needed. We'd never done metal work before but this workshop is suitable for any skill level and we were really pleased with what we made."
