I am Ruth Sprague, spinner, dyer, weaver, needle-felter and owner of Illuminating Weaves -a creative weave studio offering workshops for all ages and abilities. "Excellent session. Learnt a lot from Ruth. A great creative experience. A short explanation on the loom, quick demo and then straight on with it. Had no previous experience but Ruth explained everything very well. As a bonus ended up with a good sized piece of fabric that I am quite proud of. Would strongly recommend even if you never go on to take up weaving. We will be back to Ruth in the Autumn for follow on sessions to learn more."

"I really enjoyed the weaving taster session. Ruth was very welcoming, explained everything really clearly, gave great demonstrations of the various techniques and was very encouraging. The studio was lovely and the whole process was really calming and meditative. I loved it and would highly recommend this workshop. "
