Mandy reviewed: Peg Loom Weaving with high welfare fleeces

"I thoroughly enjoyed my day with Bec at The Woven Briar. Bec is very knowledgeable and her passion for her craft is infectious , so much so, that my peg loom, which has been collecting dust at the back of my cupboard, is now set up and ready to go. I cant recommend Bec highly enough and meeting her flock was an absolute joy "

The Woven Briar Ltd responded:

"I am so pleased Mandy I hope you have hours of creativity at your loom. Enjoy!"

Jen reviewed: Spinning Wool on a Spinning Wheel - Individual Tuition

"I had a wonderfully fun and productive day with Bec learning how to spin on a wheel. She is a great teacher, very passionate and knowledgeable, and got me spinning in next to no time. I produced my first skein of yarn and left the place feeling elated at how much I had learned, and excited about how much there is still to discover. Meeting the sheep was a pleasure and really helps you to appreciate the whole process. I highly recommend Bec to anyone who wants to learn to spin. "

The Woven Briar Ltd responded:

"Thank you very much Jen - it is always good to spend time with a kindred wool addict and send a new spinner out into the world!"

Toby reviewed: Spinning Wool on a Spinning Wheel - Individual Tuition

"I thoroughly enjoyed my two days with Bec at The Woven Briar. Bec provided great insight into different types of wool and the sheep from which it is sourced. She provided clear instructions and demonstrated the methods of carding and combing, through to getting used to powering the spinning wheel so that when it came time to start spinning I needed to focus less in my feet and more on my hands. Meeting Bec’s flock of sheep was a real treat especially Vita whom loved a chin scratch. I can wholeheartedly recommend this workshop to get you started in the world of spinning your own yarn. "

The Woven Briar Ltd responded:

"Thank you so much Toby it was a pleasure to spend time spinning with you. I can't wait to see how you take it forward and develop your style. Vita says hello!"

Louise reviewed: Spinning Wool on a Spinning Wheel - Group Tuition

"Absolutely amazing. I think it's fair to say I'm not a natural but Bex is so supportive and encouraging that in the end I managed to spin some decent yarn. She is so knowledgeable too. I'm so excited to go and buy my own wheel so I can practise more. I loved meeting the sheep too!!."
