Workshops, Galleries, Café, Gift Shop, Events, Artists’ & Makers Studios Tucked just off the village High Street, we have regular art and craft workshops suitable for beginners up to more experienced led by supportive and friendly tutors, Whilst your here come and view our changing exhibitions, stroll around our wonderful gardens, buy a birthday card and gift, meet friends for lunch or tea and homemade cake. We offer a special offer set 'workshop lunch' for participants on our courses. Showcasing the best from local and regional artists & makers. Free parking onsite. Open: Tuesday–Saturday, 10am–4pm (Closed Sun and Mon)

Jane reviewed: Gel Plate printing with Jane Fellows : Summer Wild Flowers

"This course was an experience for myself and a friend for her birthday. It was good fun and and relaxing. Also the cafe for lunch was great."

Good but short reviewed: Gel Plate printing with Jane Fellows : luminous leaves

"Good course However it started late, finished early and lunch was well over the 30mins from the description (more like 1hr+). So basically the 4h30 minutes workshop was in fact barely 3h. It was also supposed to be for a maximum of 6 people and we were 8...not quite as advertised and as as such not good value for money. "

"Hi, sorry to disappoint. I've spoken to the tutor and she said she'd taken a bit too relaxed approach - so we will tighten up on timings for future courses. The course size is 8 but we had only put a maximum of 6 places on craft courses (we'd already had 2 people booked in) so we will make this clearer. Your feedback is helpful in making sure we improve where we need to. Kind regards. The Arts Centre team. "

"This was a fun course made especially enjoyable by the tutor and the other students. Jane clearly knows how to teach and was able to give extra help as needed to those with less confidence or experience. The pace of the day was perfect and everyone took home some beautiful prints and the knowledge of how to create similar work in the future."

Mary-clare reviewed: Costumed Life drawing with live model : tutored

"Excellent session. Model was very good and adapted well to our requirements as well as providing a wealth of information about the vikings. He also brought a range of viking items...helmet, spear, axe, sword and sharpener. We finished with a final sketch of a viking funeral! A great and informative morning. Ann , our tutor was as usual very supportive while encouraging us to learn by doing and learning from our mistakes. I've now signed up for another 6 sessions!"
