Sally and Malc reviewed: Half day pottery session, throwing and handbuilding techniques

"We recently spent a fabulous morning with Jo and Mark who gave us a fascinating introduction into the world of pottery making. They are such lovely people with a wealth of knowledge and experience (and patience!). My husband really enjoyed getting to grips with the wheel, but I very quickly surrendered to it and Jo very patiently helped me create a butter dish (to be honest she had to do most of it as she quickly realised I'm really not very creative!). We can't wait to go back to see our creations having been glazed. Really can't recommend the course highly enough, but half a day was definitely not long enough as the time flew. A massive thank you for a great experience."

"Fantastic day at Greenfield! Jo was absolutely lovely and so patient with us. We spent the whole time on the wheel, which was such good fun. The sheep are very cute too. Overall a fabulous day, great value and would recommend for anyone wanting to have a play around with pottery making"

"Absolutely no hesitation in giving 5 stars to this great course. Both Jo and her husband were lovely people and knowledgeable teachers. They were friendly, helpful and kind. I felt welcome and comfortable. Jo's husband made great tea and it was greatly appreciated. I got loads out if the day and left happy that I'd done some nice work and that Jo would look after it for me until our return. I am looking forward to going back."

Russell and Debs reviewed: One day pottery workshop, wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques.

"My wife and I took this course last weekend. Absolutely brilliant. Jo has changed it up a bit so that people who don't want to be on the wheel all day can try different things. We loved the wheel though, so mostly did that. We made goblets, bowls, a tankard, flowerpot, and did a little bit of pinch pot and coiling while waiting for the pots to dry before turning them. Jo and Mark were great teachers (and brew makers), and couldn't have been more helpful. Would heartily recommend the course, fingers crossed that all the pieces survive firing. Looking forward to picking them up in a few weeks."

"Attended the half day throwing course. Jo and Mark were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, guiding us through pottery for first timers. We even branched out into hand building. I would highly recommend attending one of their courses, great value for money and we cannot wait to collect out fired items."
