"This was an incredible experience! Giles is incredibly knowledgeable, talented, and friendly. We were able to learn techniques in forge management, heating, hammering, twisting, scroll work, and more. Leaving the course I felt equipped to recreate these projects if I ever found myself in a forge again. It was great to see how over the course of the day me and my classmates skills dramatically improved, and in the final hours our work was significantly more individual and confident. Looking at the objects I came home with, I can hardly believe I made them with my own hands. Highly recommend!!"

"We had an absolutely brilliant time at Giles’ blacksmithing course for our work Christmas do. From start to finish, it was hands-on and just the right mix of challenging and fun. Giles himself was fantastic – friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his craft. He made sure we all felt welcome and got stuck in straight away. The setting in his workshop in Stanmer was so atmospheric – fires roaring, coal glowing, and the constant rhythm of hammers working metal. We spent the day learning the techniques of traditional blacksmithing, from heating and shaping to finishing our own pieces. I won’t lie, we were all aching a bit the next day, but it was definitely worth it! Giles really took care of us, making sure we got the most out of the experience. We left with a great selection of handmade items – a leaf key ring, a bottle opener, and a show stopping toasting fork, which I think we were all pretty pleased with. It was a great day out, full of laughs, a few blisters, and some impressive metalwork to take home. We would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience."

" I had the most incredible experience on this blacksmithing course, which was given to me as a birthday present. Giles is a fantastic teacher, breaking down the process with patience and enthusiasm, making it approachable for a complete beginner like me. Under his guidance I was able to make a beautiful flower ornament which I absolutely love. The setting of the forge itself was beautiful, out in the countryside with a lovely cafe opposite. Enso, the forge dog, added an extra layer of charm to the experience. His friendliness made the day even more special. I can’t recommend this course enough. Whether you're a novice or already have some experience, Giles’ passion and skill make it an absolute joy. Thank you so much, Giles, for sharing your knowledge and creating such a memorable day.
