Maker's bio

Gerry discovered and fell in love with printmaking after visiting an exhibition of relief prints in 2012. She works solely in linocut enjoying the mindfullness of mark-making and rigorous process of printmaking, most often using the reduction technique to produce multi-layered multi-coloured prints. Her work typically depicts her fondness for British wildlife; birds, flowers, countryside and above all, colour. She is a member of Oxford Art Society. Gerry teaches Linocut workshops at her home studio in South Oxfordshire. She also sells online in the UK and internationally. Her linocut print “Clarinet: lines and spaces” is currently on show at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
