Emma Griffiths reviewed: Making a March Hare

"I booked my mum on the course for mother's Day gift and she loved it. Emma was lovely and very patient! I was amazed what the group had created in one day. The hares' were all individual and a friendly bunch . The lunch and refreshments were excellent. Well worth the money and my mum has learnt a new craft that she can now do at home. I will be booking myself onto the next one."

FfolkyFfelt responded:

"Emma that is very kind! It was such a fabulous day and your mother’s hare is gorgeous. I look forward to seeing you both soon, thank you x"

"Another amazing 6 hour course with positive and encouraging tuition from Emma. My husband actually gasped and let out a 'wow' when he saw my beautiful fox. This is my third course with Emma and I can see progress and improvement after each one."

"Had a really lovely day with Emma and my fellow students. Emma was an excellent teacher, very informative and relaxed and the whole experience was great fun. Had never needle felted before but now feel much more confident, and would love to attend another session in the future. Very good value for money."

"Teaching was done in an encouraging way embracing everyone's individual skill levels and their interpretation of what they were trying to make. Quality of course materials was great and also generous. The safety briefing was informative too."

Jane Preece reviewed: Highland Cow needle-felting workshop

"I had never done any felting before and was a little apprehensive seeing the amazing work of others but the course was fantastic, Emma is a great teacher, very patient but inspirational too. The class size is just right and the venue (Bakers Table Talgarth) provided refreshments and a delicious lunch. I bought materials on the day and have continued with felting as a hobby."

Julie reviewed: Techniques & Tools Workshop

"A completely fantastic day spent learning a totally new skill. Emma was very welcoming and her instruction was at the perfect pace for us all to follow and we all created creatures to be proud of. As a complete novice I came away with the confidence to try my new found hobby on my own. I will look forward to the next course with Emma, her enthusiasm and encouragement make her the perfect tutor."

"I have been on a few of Emma's courses, with another booked! She is an excellent tutor, very knowledgable and informative, whilst at the same time making you feel comfortable in having a go! You leave with enough know how to continue this very therapeutic craft at home! I love it, and I love meeting all the other participants, they're good friends now!!"

"I've attended three Ffolkyffelt courses - after the first I was hooked! I arrived as a complete novice and left having learnt a new skill and having created something that I was quietly very proud of! The instruction is clear and encouraging and Emma is on hand and quick to help with anything you find tricky. I really enjoyed the supportive nature of the rest of the group - creating in a group environment is always so very satisfying. I won't be stopping at just three courses!"

Martine Finlay reviewed: Highland Cow needle-felting workshop

"I've never tried any kind of felting before - a complete beginner in every sense of the word. The workshop was brilliant, so much choice of materials in incredible colours, the day was extremely well thought out, accommodating beginners like me, yet providing a setting where more experienced felters could also get the most from it. Emma managed to find that perfect balance of offering tuition, guidance and help, or letting us guide ourselves when we needed/wanted to. It was a very relaxing and creative day, fab venue and a nice group of people; allowing everyone to have some 1-1 time with Emma as well. Lunch was homemade and drinks were available all day, it was very informal, allowing you to take a break when needed and take in the stunning views of the surrounding area. I loved the workshop and was so proud of what I managed to achieve with my day, definitely worth it and would highly recommend Emma as a teacher and artist."

Victoria Slade reviewed: Highland Cow needle-felting workshop

"Not having tried wet felting before this was a great opportunity to try. Course is suited to complete beginners as well as those who are more experienced and just want some creativity space and time. Great venue, loads of space and gorgeous materials to play with. Extremely well hosted on lunch and refreshments, and the group size of 5 meant we could get to know fellow work shoppers, and all could benefit from Em's time, with group and individual tuition. Loved it, highly recommended."

"Having been on a number of Emma's courses I would have no hesitation in recommending this and any of her other courses. They are fun, inspirational and will get you hooked in no time. Emma's general relaxed approach means there is time for everyone to learn at their own pace and never once have I seen anyone not able to produce something to be proud of. Probably one of the best ways to spend a day I know!"

Victoria Slade reviewed: Techniques & Tools Workshop

"I've been lucky enough to do a few felting workshops with Emma and her skill as a tutor as well as a creator of lovely things really sets her apart. You really do learn the techniques you need to go away and get all creative - and take away creations (and creatures) which are recognisable which is no mean feat in my case. But a word of warning - her workshops are addictive!"
