Bill and Caroline Heasman reviewed: Potters wheel throwing for beginners Dimbleby Ceramics Trentham Stoke-on-Trent

"We had a fantastic day! Mathew is an excellent teacher, which he needed to be as we were both complete novices. We learnt a huge amount in just six hours and had something to show for it at the end of the day. Would highly recommend the course to anyone."

"This course is fantastic, Matthew made all aspects of the course easy to understand and very enjoyable. We made three bowls and a jug which will remind me of a very enjoyable day. Matthew fully explains and demonstrates throughout the day, be rest assured this is a very hands-on course, which is exactly what you want. Clare Latimer reviewed: Potters wheel throwing for beginners Dimbleby Ceramics Trentham Stoke-on-Trent

"Having not touched a potters wheel for over 20 years (and couldn’t grasp it at the time) I was definitely feeling a little bit anxious about how the day would go. However Mathew and his wife immediately put me at ease with a warm welcome to their home. During the day I produced 3 bowls and 2 jugs all under the direction of Mathew with clear guidance and a ‘give it a go’ attitude. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable day and I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my new skills."

Lloyd Evans reviewed: Potters wheel throwing for beginners Dimbleby Ceramics Trentham Stoke-on-Trent

"You will be amazed what you can produce in a single day. I had never sat at a potter's wheel but had always wanted to give it a go. I hinted at this course for a 'big' birthday present and so glad I did so. I arrived with absolutely no experience of working with clay but took home four pieces which I am quite honestly proud of. Matthew and Rachel have created a special environment. Go through their front door and marvel at the Potter's world within. Matthew led the course. Welcoming, encouraging and patient. The instruction and attention given to each of the four attendees was spot on. Just excellent!"

Dimbleby Ceramics - Beginners Studio Pottery Courses responded:

" Hi Lloyd, It was a pleasure to have you on the course and see you develop your skills on the wheel throughout the day. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your experience, it really helps others who are looking at booking the course. Very best wishes Mathew"
