I have had a passion for cooking all of my life, learning early cooking skills from my Mother and Grandmother. I grew up on my parents farm in Herefordshire, so I’m very much a country boy at heart.
In my early teens I turned my love of cooking into a way of earning pocket money, working in restaurants and bistros.
I have run my own bistro and restaurant in Suffolk, including outside catering. Although I enjoy the rustic nature of cooking, I have always had a passion for food across the globe and have had the pleasure of working with chefs from many different countries. I incorporate many of these cuisines in my every day home cooking as well as my workshops.

"Phil is a great teacher and really filled the day with as much as possible. He got us started with a morning coffee and we got stuck in. We made so many different things and I can see myself making everything at home in the future. He has a lovely garden which we enjoyed during a break, and later we sat down for a lunch to enjoy our creations. Really nice pace to the course, and found everything easy and enjoyable with Phil's guidance. Thank you for a nice day! "

"Had a wonderful day with Phil on Spanish and Mexican Tapas cooking course. I was fortunate as it was 1;1. The experience began from the moment I arrived at his wonderful home. Phil was most welcoming and took his time to explain each dish we made whilst also telling me how his love for cooking began. We had morning coffee, tasting some of the dishes we had prepared, and lunch followed with further dishes we had created. Phil’s friendliness made the experience all the more enjoyable. I left with many dishes we had made and learnt a great deal in a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be trying Tapas at home. Thank you so much for a great day."

"My husband and I had a wonderful day with Phil on the Spanish and Mexican Tapas cooking course.
The kitchen and setting is beautiful and Phil was welcoming, friendly and had a lovely calm and knowledgable way of teaching. He was very insightful and we learnt some great tips and ideas to takeaway with us.
The food was exceptional and of very high quality, having lunch overlooking the gardens was so peaceful and a great experience.
Thank you so much Phil, we had a great day, learnt lots, and are very full from all the delicious foods!
We’d recommend this course to anyone!

"I ended up with a 1:1 day with Phil for this course and it was great! Really friendly and welcoming, easy to understand the directions and also some choice in what to cook! Really tasty food and easy to replicate at home and find the ingredients in supermarkets! Took home lots of food for dinner and had an amazing lunch too! Value for money definitely."
