Neil Ramshaw reviewed: Brushmaking

"Elizabeth and Stuart were warm welcoming hosts who gave good instruction, encouragement and feedback during the session. The small number of participants meant that all of us got enough attention from them and their experience. They really are passionate about spreading these skills and keeping them alive in the community."

"I attended this course with an open mind. Travelling from London and staying locally, it made an exciting break. Our tutors gave us an informative introduction to the craft and then supported and advised us during our exploration of our newly acquired skills. I couldn’t wait to get home and continue. The enthusiasm shared is inspiring. I’m looking forward to the improvers course, all being well, next year. Our annual visit to Wales will be timed to coincide with the date."

Annie Cholewa reviewed: Brushmaking

"I can highly recommend this course. After being given a solid foundation in the basics - the different wood and bristle options, drilling the holes and then stitching the fibres in place with wire or thread - participants are free to continue under close guidance or to follow their own path and test the boundaries of what’s possible. The tutor's are generous with their knowledge and their enthusiasm for their craft is infectious. I’m already looking forward to the advanced skills course promised for next year."
