"What a wicked experience - would totally recommend to anyone. Conan is a great tutor - easy going, and supportive. I'd never tried forging and blacksmithing before and could see myself exploring this area again., Conan also rents out workshop space so once you've done the basics you can hire the space by the day. I did a day course and made a knife from an old file and thinking about going back for the day to make a garden sculpture "

"What a fun day... blacksmithing is fun creative and got ideas whirring round for things to make next time. For the first half if the day I learned about the basics, forging a taper and had a go on the power hammer- which is a mechanical hammer. In the second half I made a knife from a file, forging the shape and grinding an edge.... there was just enough time to out a handle on it and ill finish the sharpening off at home in the kitchen. Something very nice about making your first knife "

The morning was spent practicing welding techniques and in the afternoon we constructed a small project piece using the knowledge gained in the morning. Conan is highly attentive to his students offering lots of advice and guidance along the way. Nothing was too much trouble for him."

"If you are looking for an unforgettable experience look no further! Conan is an incredible teacher & his workshop was amazing! I didn't have any previous experience in this field other than having done Art & mixed media at uni & continuing to do art over the years as a hobbie. I like working with different mediums & was really keen to cut, weld & make something I had in mind out of steel! I can't thank Conan enough for sharing his amazing skills & expertise. He helped me learn, create & transform my idea into a stunning creation! I will definitely be going back! I can't speak highly enough of him and his workshop. He is friendly, communication and instruction was brilliant throughout. Even prior to me booking he was super fast at answering and addressing all the questions I had. You will not be disappointed. "Practical first half welding everything to everything and learning all the basic MIG welds, machine set up, different metals. After the break I had a go at making some growing frames for the garden. Conan knows his stuff and has been mig welding and blacksmithing for 30 years. Would defo recommend if you wanna learn metalwork"

"What a pleasant surprise. Was a birthday present from my partner and wasn’t just welding but an exploration in creativity, metakwork, mig welding and a bit of blacksmithing thrown in too. First half of the day was learning all the basic welds and after the break we made a cockroach sculpture… very cool, and really enjoyed the day. Would totally recommend it "

"I wanted to try out some welding to gather some experience and new skills. Spotting this course in the process and I booked myself in for a solo workshop. I arrived, Met Conan and we got stuck in after deciding what to make. (A rocket ship ornament for the Garden). Conan gave me a crash course on how MIG welders work, the safety equipment and the strength of tacks and different joins. I was even offered to try out some different MIG welders and later dabble with the forge and anvil. Conan is a great teacher, both patient, knowledgeable and willing to help out with work and ideas. (He made so many panels before we decided to scrap them as we ran out of time). Sadly, our Rocketship had to be a wire frame version instead. Though I am still chuffed to have something completed. Hands down a 5 star course! Would weld again! *****"

"I really enjoyed my day with Conan in his workshop. The hands on approach to the day is brilliant to build up one’s confidence in MIG welding.
