"What an amazing teacher and wonderful course. Chris is just brilliant, he made the course so enjoyable and his teaching technique was easy follow and made you feel empowered. For someone with no previous experience I came away on a high and something I and my friend want pursue. The surroundings are so professional and everything to accommodate COVID was in place and explained, the set up made easy and safe at all times. Chris and his course are amazing. "We had an excellent one-day course with Chris last month. He was a brilliant teacher, encouraging us to develop and improve our pottery skills, and to try out new approaches too. Chris explained things really clearly and carefully and also gave demonstrations of various throwing and decorating techniques. After the morning session we had a delicious lunch in the garden and then spent the afternoon working on creating more pots and using slip to decorate them. The whole day was thoroughly enjoyable and we hope to return again soon. Many thanks!"

"Booked this for me and my mum for her birthday. Neither of us really knew what to expect but Chris was so welcoming and friendly, and above all patient while teaching us how to use the pottery wheel. Communication was excellent throughout the booking process, and it all felt incredibly safe and mindful of COVID guidelines during the lesson. Really enjoyed the experience - actually coming home with several lovely, useable pots was a bonus! Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a bit of an unusual afternoon treat."

"I bought this course as a present for my girlfriend's birthday - safe to say, we both loved it! As true beginners, this course was perfect. Chris is clearly extremely knowledgeable and a very good tutor. Chris gave fab hints and tips throughout the pot-making process, while still allowing us to keep the pots looking like our own - a tad wonky :P With Chris' help we were able to pick it up very quickly and come away having made and decorated a succession of fantastic looking bowls, which we can't wait to pick up and display with pride in the coming weeks! The social distancing/PPE guidance and measures put in place by Chris were more than adequate and allowed us both to enjoy the evening without concern. Bonus points, we stumbled across a fellow geologist!!! Thanks again, Chris, for a fabulous evening - we will certainly be returning! Cheers, Dan & Charlotte :)"

I'm also always impressed when people start off (quite rightly) trying to work out where the hands and fingers go but very quickly get to grips with the processes. Chris and Sarah are very welcoming and very informative with calming guidance when things literally spin out of control. The time we had was nicely structured and relaxed and the items we produced looked good (Paul you still win ) for mere amateurs. "We had a brilliant day with Chris for my daughter's birthday. He very kindly made us a tailor made course and managed to squeeze five people into his workshop and garden! We were there from 11-4 and took it in turns to use the wheels and a little hand building. What stood out to me was the incredibly thoughtful organisation. Every detail - down to a lovely lunch was planned out. Chris started out by demonstrating basic throwing and then patiently guided each of us through making our first pot - or saucer in my case!! By pot 3, nice little bowls were being produced despite us all being beginners. After lunch we went out in the garden and enjoyed some messy play with slip to decorate our pots. I would highly recommend Chris as a teacher - he is patient and very encouraging. He even made each of us a bowl to decorate in case ours didn't turn out."
