Maker's bio

I live and breathe creativity, I have been involved in ceramics for over 15 years now. I have studies Ceramics/Pottery via Evening classes, and over the years have brushed shoulders with the most inspiring characters, only for them to enhance my creativity side. I connect heavily with clay and this allows me to take my abilities to new levels creating unique pieces. I’m drawn to the sheer excitement when opening my kiln to find the pure delights that I’ve created with my very own mind and hands. It’s very common for, me, to find myself in the early hours, sitting with my clay enjoying my thoughts whilst winding down. Collecting Objects to create impressions from the beach is a real favourite for me, Rocks, seaweed, driftwood and shells, these finds naturally inspire me, whilst capturing nature. Ceramics is a very unpredictable Art, and this draws me to the medium even more so! working on a piece for days to find that once fired, the final result is nothing like you’d planned. I am a full time Engineer , so life is very fast pace and pressured, Ceramics will take me to another world helping to forget the stresses that life can pose. Selling my Art across the globe, I’m thrilled by the fact my work is favoured enough to be purchased. Nothing I do, is for a financial gain, I simply wish to share my experiences and skills in hope for you to feel as I do.? All enhancing one another’s creative side, there for learning, whilst practicing positive Mental Health. My ultimate aim was to progress onto tutoring, to spread the awareness of the Clay Medium, ceramics can be a very costly hobby, I’ve been there myself, so to provide not just classless but the aftercare is imperative to me, sharing my very own blunders could help, those wishing to pursue an hobby when taking up ceramics! Bernie reviewed: Hand building Pottery, Christmas Decorations Workshop Beginners Wolverhampton Bantock House

"What a fabulous way to spend a morning! Everything you needed to complete the ornaments was supplied. There were many examples of what you could achieve with a combination of techniques. There was also plenty of space for you to create. No experience was required to do the project and you could work at your own pace. Any guidance that was given by Samatha was very clear. The items will be sent to you after firing. "

Anne-Marie Bannister reviewed: Hand building Pottery, Christmas Decorations Workshop Beginners Wolverhampton Bantock House

"This was a lovely, easy, relaxing course which achieved fantastic results (although admittedly I won't know for sure until the decorations come from the kiln in a couple of weeks!). The generous amount of clay was only supposed to yield 15-25 decorations but I made 42! Sam was so friendly, the venue was relaxing and if the end results appear anything like hers they will look stunning. I would love more courses like this!"

Ceramics By Robinson responded:
