Alexandra reviewed: Inspired by Nature II

"I attended a previous natural dye workshop of Sabrina's and it was incredible - we created some beautiful shades of colour simply from onion skins, avocado stones and pomegranate skins! Was very impressed by the beauty and range of colours that plants & nature can produce with different fabrics - even using iron nails to create patterns! Sabrina was so knowledgeable on all matters natural and environmental - who knew that certain dyes & fabrics could be naturally UV resistant and even healing! Would definitely recommend this course to beginners and more experienced artists/crafters alike."

"Having attended Sabrina natural botanical dye talk, I can’t wait to attend the workshop to get some hands on experience. I loved the whole sustainability connection to nature and was surprised at how so much vegetable and plant kitchen waste can be used to make living colours. Sabrina is very knowledgable and passionate about the natural dying process and being environmentally friendly. I found the whole process intriguing how avocado stones and skins can make lovely pink dyes. Sabrina shared lots of samples to show how her botanical dyes can produce very different colours and effects depending on the natural fabrics used. The talk was very informative, relaxed and friendly."

"I've been on one of D's pewter cast jewellery courses, and she is a fabulously creative and innovative teacher. Really good to find the workshop again, on this multi crafts-and-creativity weekend at Braziers Park. I've also participated in J's collaborative poetry sessions, which are enlightening and inspiring - even if you think you aren't a poet! Braziers is a wonderful place to spend time - always interesting, inspiring and quirky. I went to their Inspired by Nature Easter Creativity weekend about 10 years ago, which was really enjoyable, and we made lots of beautiful (and useful!) things. I'm looking forward to going again, to enjoy the crafts on offer this time around, and share the landscape, meals, and fun of another creativity weekend there."
