"I learnt to crochet on Bethany's beginners crochet course - 3x 2-hour sessions saw me making granny squares and a rose. I'm not at all creative and my Mum failed to teach me how to crochet despite many attempts over the years. I'm now attempting other simple patterns on my own and I'm about to attempt a teddy bear! "I loved learning to crochet with Bethany - I had literally never picked up a crochet hook before and had no clue how to form a single stitch. As well as learning the various basic stitches and techniques needed to crochet a granny square, I gained an understanding of principles such as the effect that different hook sizes and yarn thicknesses have on the finished item as well as the qualities of different types of yarn. Bethany is a very patient teacher and gives clear explanations and demonstrations that are close enough to see and at a good pace for watching and following. I haven't looked back and a little while on I am now confident to follow patterns, adapt them and even just make it up myself from scratch with no pattern for simpler items. Definitely recommended!"
