"I thoroughly enjoyed this course. It was excellently planned, incredibly informative, and very well executed, with an engaging and eclectic content. Totally recommend. Thank you very much for starting my journey, I hope our nettle paths will cross again. One suggestion …. a welcome (grounding) hot drink on arrival would be nice. "

"Thank you for taking the time to write a review! It is lovely to hear that you enjoyed the workshop :) Thank you also for your your suggestion to offer teas and coffees earlier in the day. We usually offer a cuppa after return from foraging, but mentioning this option on arrival is a fab idea. Thank you! "

"A really informative course that I very much enjoyed. Lots of excellent information on both picking and processing nettles and also turning them into cord and thread. It was also well paced and never felt rushed. "

Lucy and Bethany reviewed: Nettle Fibre Workshop

"Interesting and fun course, covered the topic well given the time frame and was very informative. A bit more info on the carding would have been useful as I don't think anyone was familiar with it at all, but it was overall a good introduction. Many thanks :) "

BeeKayMakes responded:

"Hi Lucy and Bethany, thank you for taking the time to write a review, much appreciated! It was great to have you both on the workshop :) I am so happy that you enjoyed 'nettling' for a day. Yes, we did cover a lot of textile techniques that day and hand carding is a bit tricky. However, your carded nettle fluff looked great, so you did it very well! I hope you will continue to have nettle fun in the future :) Bee 🌿🌿"

"This masterclass is an ode to heritage, that stands behind us in cloth. One will not only learn an ancient sustainable craft, achievable even for complete beginners, which is already amazing for just six hours of your life. Brigitte's natural teaching ability and passion are also a testament to practice based on meticulous research and scholastic knowledge, which she shares generously."

"Excellent workshop which leads you gently through the process of making a workable fibre from the common nettle. Brigitte has a fabulous knowledge of fibres and has created the day in a very logical way. Patiently leading you from picking your own nettles through the various processing stages so you leave with samples from each stage. Brigitte is so inspirational with her passion. She also brings a collection of items and fibres both made by her or obtained during her research. All of which left me wanting to learn more"
