Maker's bio

Paul is a skilled craftsman who works in both leather and wood to create beautiful and functional items for everyday use. Paul became involved with Viking re-enactment in 1998 and this started his love of working with leather. Since then he has amassed a large number of tools and techniques. He has a passion for teaching and enjoys passing on the many skills he has learned to others in his workshops His leather items are highly sought after and work has appeared in both museum and film.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable course and Paul showed us all the processes involved with kindness and patience. Our finished leather notebooks were amazing and this is all down to the wonderful tutor. I would definitely recommend this course to any one who wants to start working on leather. His course handout was also superb - with links off where to go to get certain tools and he also reminded us on the handout what each tool was for! . 10/10 course ."
