"Just got back from a thoroughly enjoyable day with Richard and Sue, armed with lots of useful tips on how to get the most out my mid-range camera. They directed the tuition to suit both my own and my friends abilities and gave us lots of useful tips on purchasing equipment. Furthermore they Kindly let me use their camera equipment,including different lenses and filters, which enabled me to see the difference in photos that one can achieve by moving to the next level. Both of them were enthusiastic and listened to what I wanted to learn, in addition to guiding me in the right direction on all aspects of photography. Whatever level your at, I would certainly recommend this course as they definitely tailor the day to suit you and your needs. Great value for money!"

"I recently did a 2 day course with Sue and Richard and loved every minute of it. They were able to show me how to get more out of the current bridge camera I have and also allowed me to use their DSLR cameras to show me how much more I could do with that. They also gave me lots of information on editing photos and recommended software which will enable me to make the most of my photos. Both Richard and Sue were very helpful with regards to my hearing loss and made sure I was able to follow them at all times. Their relaxed approach allowed me to ask questions and when I mentioned a project I was working on and wondered how to photograph it, they gave me a lot of help and guidance with it, enabling me to produce some work in their studio and ideas for how to further it at home. On the strength of doing this course I have ordered a new DSLR camera and editing software and cannot wait to get going with it! If you want to get more out of your camera or are thinking of upgrading and want to make sure you would get the most out of your new camera, I would have no hesitation in recommending Sue and Richard’s courses."

"What a great course! It's hard to call it a course, more of a day's experience. Richard and Sue spend a day completely tailored to your current understanding and experience of photography, and take you on from there. Their understanding, enthusiasm and joy of photography is obvious. They very adeptly explained what all those buttons and twisty bits on the camera do, and managed to get me using most of them. Practical sessions in the studio and on the shores of Ullswater help to reinforce the capabilities of a DSLR camera. "I highly recommend this course to anybody. Right from the first meeting, Richard and Sue made me feel completely at ease with them. They are both very knowledgeable and passionate about photography, and are genuinely interested in helping other people get the best out of their cameras and photography. Richard and Sue explain things in a way that is easy to understand, and give you plenty of time and guidance to take plenty of photographs and then review and change them in Lightroom. They also gave me lots of advice on equipment I may need. I feel much more confident using my camera now and playing around with different settings. As others have said, you will not regret going on this course if you are keen on photography!"

"I've just spent the day with Sue and Richard on one of their photography courses in the lovely Ullswater area of the Lake District. They had 'tailor made' the course to my needs, listening to my ideas and what I wanted to get out of the day. I didn't have any of my own equipment so I was able to experiment with theirs, and then had excellent guidance on purchasing what I needed. This I have now done! So my new second-hand DSLR Cannon camera and len will be arriving shortly, so it is very exciting. Sue and Richard love what they do and this comes over it they way they teach. Great value for money. Try it!"

"A one day course arranged for my 13 year old Granddaughter, Poppy. I was invited to participate on the day. Poppy wanted to learn how to get the most from the DSLR given to her at Christmas. I was impressed by Richard and Sue`s patient approach demonstrating the basic functions of the camera and explaining, in simple terms, the basic principles of photography. An outdoor session on the shores of Ullswater proved very useful. After lunch the afternoon was taken up with indoor and flash photography, experimenting with aperture settings and shutter speeds. To hold the attention of a young teenager (as well as my own) for a full day of sometimes complex detail shows the level of skill used by Richard and Sue. I thoroughly recommend these courses."

"Having been overwhelmed by the apparent complexity of some of the settings on my digital SLR I had developed the habit of taking refuge in the "intelligent auto" setting. However, after an excellent day with Richard and Sue I now have the background knowledge and the courage to experiment. Photography suddenly looks a lot more fun. The tuition was patient and thorough and was thoughtfully divided between a morning on the shores of Ullswater and an afternoon in the studio looking at macro work. Technophobe or geek, there is plenty in this day for all. Make a booking or put the day on your Christmas list."

"I have just come back from my course with Richard and Sue and I can honestly say I thoroughly loved it. I was lucky enough to be the only one there today and that was a complete benefit to me. We didn't have the best weather but the photos looked great by the time we were through, and I honestly think they liked them. They are patient and encourage you to do things yourself and try out every option. If they work or not, you learn either way! I have had my camera for years but never got further that the intelligent automatic setting, from now on that will the case.
