Myles Cantello reviewed: Furniture making course: Fundamentals of Furniture Making Part 1 (beginner) - 2 day course in Surrey

"I wanted to get into woodworking for a little while so I went on this course to see if i would enjoy it. The whole experience was awesome, Jarrad was super easy going and a great teacher. I've definitely walked away from this with a new obsession for woodworking and I am now saving the pennies to get some tools together. "

AM Fine Furniture Limited responded:

" Thank you Myles for your kind feedback! I am very glad you enjoyed the course with Jarrad and got much learning out of it. If you need any advice regarding tools, feel free to contact us. Best wishes, Aidan "

Jonathan Richards reviewed: Furniture making course: Fundamentals of Furniture Making Part 1 (beginner) - 2 day course in Surrey

"A great introduction to some of the basic skills in cabinet making. Jarrad ran the course I attended and he worked hard to make the workshop a very welcoming place. He clearly talked us through every step and was always on hand to help. Aidan dropped in occasionally and was always ready to offer encouragement. Its a 'hands on' course and each attendee had access to good quality, well maintained tools. Highly recommended."

AM Fine Furniture Limited responded:

" Thank you very much for your kind feedback Jonathan! It was great to welcome you at the workshop and if you have any further questions, feel free to contact us. All the best, Aidan "

Simon Stow reviewed: Furniture making course: Fundamentals of Furniture Making Part 1 (beginner) - 2 day course in Surrey

"I recently took part in a 2 day course with AM Fine Furniture called "The Fundamentals of Furniture Making Part 1". I was taught by Jarrad, and it really was a fantastic experience and introduction to woodworking. Both Jarrad and Aiden were full of knowledge and advice. The information about tooling and sourcing wood has been very useful in planning my next projects and how I would like to move forward in woodworking. I would not hesitate to recommend these guys, and I am looking forward to the next course I can do with them."

AM Fine Furniture Limited responded:

" Thank you very much for your kind feedback Simon. We also very much enjoyed delivering this course and I am so pleased to hear you had such a positive learning experience. Any course follow-up questions, feel free to contact me. "

Philip A. reviewed: Furniture making course: Fundamentals of Furniture Making Part 2 (beginner) - 4 day( weekend) course in Surrey

"I have recently attended the Fundamentals Part 2 course with Aidan after completing the part 1 course in the summer. The fundamentals courses cover the basic skills that are required for anyone embarking on a wood craft hobby or perhaps with career aspirations within joinery or fine furniture making. Following on from the part 1 fundamentals course, the part 2 course introduces you to slightly more complex skills with the marking gages, mitre square and the use of shooting boards with the bench planes, followed on with your first experience with hand saws, chisels, shoulder and rebate planes and spoke-shaves with the purpose of crafting a lovely mirror frame by the end of the course. As with the previous course with Aidan, he works on the principles of explanation, demonstration then practice, practice, practice with a healthy amount of correction and help along the way. This is an excellent way of developing your confidence and skills with the tools and gives you a real sense of satisfaction when you ‘get it’. The course structure and teaching is thorough, very well delivered and at a relaxing pace so by the end of day 4 you’re looking at the finished product where everything has come together nicely. Aidan is a lovely friendly guy and a great teacher with an exceptional level of skill and knowledge in his field and he shares this with real enthusiasm and clarity. I have thoroughly enjoyed this course and recommend it to other students of any age or skill level. I’m looking forward to completing some of Aidan’s other courses in the very near future. "

AM Fine Furniture Limited responded:

" Hi Philip, thank you very much for your detailed and positive feedback, it really means a lot. I am so glad you enjoyed the course and got that much out of it. If you have any follow-up questions, just let me know. Best wishes, Aidan "
