"I had a wonderful day with Dorothy, she made me feel at home with flowing conversation and cups of tea. Nothing was too much trouble when it came to her teaching me about the various types of glass that I used to create two coasters, a hanger and a wave. It was fascinating to learn how the glass will change during firing. Dorothy is certainly a wonderful, knowledgeable teacher. I would highly recommend this course. Thank you for a fabulous day Dorothy x "

"My cousin and I spent an amazing day with Dorothy who has the patience of a saint and helped us with our ever ending questions and design ideas. She explained how the glass worked and what we could achieve with them, as novices we found she pitched it to us absolutely perfectly. We created four items each and had so much fun doing each of them - cannot wait to see how they turn out ! Cannot highly recommend a day with Dorothy enough and I will be going back for another day to play with glass. Thank you Dorothy for your wonderful welcome and all your hard work with us."

All Things Glass responded:

"Thanks very much Estrela, glad you enjoyed your day, & your glass is now fired & looks great. Look forward to seeing you again Regards Dorothy"

"A fascinating day. Dorothy was an excellent teacher and I loved playing around with the various types of glass and the different colours. I’m delighted with the end product! My glassware turned out far better than I expected it to. Can thoroughly recommend this course. Dorothy makes you feel very welcome and takes you through all the necessary steps very carefully until you feel happy enough to start your own pieces. I am, in fact, very tempted to try this again."

"Dorothy is a fantastic tutor. I had never worked with glass before and was rather nervous, knowing how sharp it can be, however big or small the piece. She explained how to handle the glass safely (including the use of eye protection), the use of various tools and the correct way to keep your workspace clean (use a brush, not your hand!). Dorothy demonstrated the use and results of all sorts of glass so I had a good idea how things would turn out (some glass can look different after firing). She was happy to share examples of her work when I was stuck for inspiration for my creations. I lost all track of time I was so absorbed in creating my pieces. I am so proud of the coasters, window hanging and decorative plate I made. Thank you for a lovely day."

"My daughter and I spent a lovely day with Dorothy in her workshop. She was very knowledgeable and showed us various techniques we could try as well as the numerous different glasses we could use - from sheets, to confetti, to powdered. By the end of the day we had made 2 coasters, a window hanging and a free standing wave piece and can’t wait to collect them once they have been fired! Thank you Dorothy"
