Ceramic animal, pet or fantasy creature heads sculpture workshop with Fiona Radford on Saturday 10th November 2018 1pm – 4pm. Suitable for all abilities – ages 14+ includes clay, glazes and firings – 8 places. Bring images or photos to inspire you. Your head will be dried, glazed and fired for you and will be ready about 3 weeks after the workshop.

Have a go at making your own beads by melting glass in a hot flame – warning it is highly addictive! With tutor Pris McGirr. You will learn how to make big hole beads to thread on a chain, ribbon or Pandora bracelet as well as pendants and smaller spacer beads. For safety reasons please tie back long hair and wear cotton clothes. Age 16 and over, 5 places.

Continuing on the festive theme let’s make a Xmas stocking measuring 8” x 21”. Bring ½ metre of main fabric & ½ metre of lining fabric (preferably co-ordinating). 100% cotton would be best. You can appliqué or quilt as you wish. Fusible fleece will be provided at the class. Bring your own sewing machine and sewing kit. Limited to 4 places.

You can choose from a wide selection of patterned old British china, iridescent and shiny glass detail tiles to make a round or square hanging mirror. The finished piece will be approximately 20 – 25cms in diameter with a small central mirror. You will learn how to get the best use out of chipped and cracked china, recycling at it’s most stylish.
