Buy a Gift Voucher

Gift voucher terms and conditions

Our gift vouchers can be redeemed against any of the thousands of creative experiences listed on CraftCourses, making a unique & memorable gift!

About CraftCourses gift vouchers

The vouchers are valid for 12 months and available to buy in any amount (min £10). Vouchers are issued immediately online & sent via email. You can add the name of the recipient onto the voucher, as well as choose the start date up to 3 months into the future (such as their birthday). We also offer bespoke, personalised gift cards*, which you can select from the options whilst completing a gift voucher order (*additional cost).

Spending the vouchers

Each voucher contains a unique ‘redeemable code’ which is used to verify the voucher value and make a booking.

To redeem a voucher please give the code on your voucher to the Tutor at the point of booking, or once a firm date has been agreed. This will usually be via the 'Contact' form on each course page. Once the code has been given, your voucher is effectively ‘spent’ and your contract is now with the Tutor and subject to their cancellation terms and conditions.

If the course fee is more than the voucher value

Gift vouchers can be used as full or part payment for the course. If the course fee is higher than the value of the original voucher, you will need to pay the difference directly to the provider.

Splitting vouchers

If the course fee is lower than the voucher value, your gift vouchers can be easily 'split' into any increment ending in a 0 or 5 (minimum £10). Tutors cannot give 'change' on vouchers so if the voucher is going to be spent on more than one course then please Contact Us with the voucher code and the required breakdown.

Voucher receipt

An invoice confirming the details of the purchase will also be issued by email.

Vouchers sent by post inside a gift card (£4.80)

You may opt to have your voucher(s) printed and posted first class inside one of our gift cards, to which you can add a personal greeting!

We offer a choice of artist designed cards, each of which fold neatly to enclose the voucher inside a pouch inside the card. You can opt to have the voucher posted direct to the recipient, or sent to yourself, in which case we place the voucher, card and envelope inside a second envelope, so that it remains nice and neat for you to give as a gift.

Gift cards are printed and posted within 2 working days via first class Royal Mail.

The envelopes are hand stamped and everything is fully compostible and plastic free!

Vouchers issued via email (complimentary on all purchases)

All vouchers are automatically issued immediately online and via email and can include the recipient’s name (optional) as well as the chosen start date, expiry date and amount. You can print out the voucher to give to the recipient in person (they are designed to be easily printed on A4 and folded to form a voucher) or alternatively you can forward the voucher on via email.

CraftCourses gift vouchers are dated and valid for 12 months from the start date of the voucher (you can choose the exact start date up to 3 months in advance). The exact expiry date is printed on each voucher. Bookings must be made before this expiry date or the voucher will no longer be valid. The course may take place after the expiry however.

Course availability

All courses are offered subject to availability and places on specific courses can not be guaranteed - bookings must be agreed directly with each tutor. The vouchers are not sold for any specific course, they are generic vouchers offering the choice of thousands of creative workshops across the UK. Our tutors are often individual craftspeople and artisans and the courses are therefore bespoke and offered in limited numbers. Please book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Once you have confirmed your booking date with a tutor you are bound by their terms and conditions regarding cancellations or changes.

If you need to change a date after booking, you may be able to agree a new one at the discretion of the tutor. Tutors are generally happy to take on reasonable requests if at all possible.

Sometimes the tutor may need to cancel the course at short notice for reasons beyond their control, such as adverse weather conditions, illness or mechanical breakdowns. Therefore, we recommend that you contact the tutor the day before the course to check. We regret that in the event of cancellation, CraftCourses is unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or any other expenses you may incur in relation to the cancelled course.

Certain courses are subject to certain requirements specified by our providers, such as age, health or accessibility. For example it is not advised to be around lead whilst pregnant. Details of each course are available online but please check carefully upon making the booking that you comply with the requirements.

Vouchers must be kept safely and securely. CraftCourses will take no responsibility for any loss you may incur as a result of theft, impersonation or identity fraud. We would be able to cancel and re-issue vouchers that have been stolen, as long as they have not yet been used, so if this has happened to you please get in touch.

Refunds will ONLY be made on unused and un-verified vouchers bought direct from CraftCourses within 14 days of purchase. Refunds can only be made to the person who purchased the voucher and credited to the same credit or debit card or PayPal account used at payment. Qualifying refunds will be made for the full value of the gift voucher excluding any payment made for a physical gift card and postage.

Course pricing

The course information on CraftCourses is updated regularly by tutors. All content including prices is subject to change.

Course providers

CraftCourses’ tutors include many of the UK’s best craftspeople and artists. New tutos are always signing up and occasionally a tutor withdarws for retirement, ill health or other reasons beyond our control. If your preferred tutor is unavailable you can choose any other workshop to redeem your voucher.

Safety & insurance

Tutors are solely responsible for meeting the safety regulations and providing the appropriate insurance cover for their course(s); Craft Courses Limited takes no responsibility for individual tutors who advertise on the site and does not provide any insurance cover or official safety advice or inspection.

Complaints & feedback

Your feedback on the vouchers is welcome, so please bring any comments or issues to our attention as soon as possible, so that we have a chance to put matters right. If your issue is with the course or tutor (rather than the voucher process) please take this up with the tutor on the day, as course content and structure is largely beyond our control.

Please note

The above terms and conditions apply as a condition of using any voucher, whether or not the voucher holder is the original purchaser. CraftCourses reserves the right to change these terms from time to time without reference to customers. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, and are governed by and in accordance with British law.
