Wax Wrap Workshop save Plastic!
This is a lovely workshop with wonderful eco credentials to support those wanting to reduce single use plastic. Wax wraps reduce our daily plastic waste, sparing our intricate earth, her oceans and their inhabitants of the reckless plastic use that we so wonderfully refer to as ‘convenience’. Wax Wraps are natural, reusable and eco-friendly alternative to cling film. They are modern, colourful and can be made from a range of beautiful 100% cotton fabrics with either beeswax or soy wax.
This is a fun workshop where you will be doing your bit for our oceans and inhabitants.
You will receive a full demonstration of how to make a wax wrap, before embarking on the challenge yourself. You will make a selection of different sized wraps, perfect for wrapping sandwiches, fruits and vegetables, covering food in the fridge or even wrapping home made scones. You will have the choice of many stunning 100% cotton fabrics with a range of prints and patterns to suit your own taste.
We look at the best ways to use your Wax Wraps, how to wash and clean them and how to store them to get the most from them. Wax wraps can be used for 6-12 months and can be refreshed to preserve the life of them to increase sustainability. We will ensure you leave with full confidence that you will be able to make further wax wraps at home.
You will make a selection of different sized wraps within the workshop and enjoy tea and cake.

Lovely workshop, fully explained the process and how to look after the wraps afterwards. Lots of lovely fabric to choose from as well as tea and cake. My 3rd workshop with Sharon now, I can’t recommend her workshops enough, brilliant value every time.
The course went well. There was a good choice of fabrics and we certainly learnt how to make the wraps. Plenty of refreshments. Tutor waffled a little and we had to wait around a bit for equipment to warm up and queue for the irons. Other than this it would have been Excellent. Very good value.
