Traditional mohair teddies - 'Milo' or Roxy - Beginner's and Returners 2-Day Workshop, Ilkley
Beginner's will make Milo, an adorable, mischievous, traditional jointed teddy bear. Milo is 23cm high when standing, 17cm when sitting. Returners who already have a 'Milo' in their collection will make a bear with a different authentic mohair coat. We've called her Roxy. In this two full-day (6hrs per day) weekend course, learn teddy-making skills and the fascinating heritage of mohair bears from his designer, Jacqueline Schultz, owner of Jacqueline’s Bears. Milo and Roxy's authentic appearance is thanks to their Steiff Schulte Ratinee 100% mohair ruffled coat as well as their movable cotter pin joints, British-made glass eyes and endearing features. This booking includes two sessions and a Bear Kit that includes all the materials to make your bear. Please note, the mohair might vary slightly depending on availability from our suppliers. You don’t need any previous bear-making experience but we do recommend you have basic sewing skills. Classes are individually priced & include the tools to use in class and all materials, unless otherwise indicated. Each participant also receives a 10% off voucher to spend online.
