Description
How about trying something different in 2023? Come along to our Sunday morning crafting session and learn how to make your very own wooden cooking spoon. In this friendly, fun small-group session, experienced local spoon carver Eleanor Morgan will guide you through all the steps, showing you how to safely carve a spoon from local wood using just two different knives. You’ll find yourself lost in a world of wood chips and the beautiful facets of the natural product as you’re taken through the spoon carving process from beginning to end. Starting with a wooden blank, Eleanor will teach you how to create your very own cooking utensil to take home and show off to family and friends! The workshop is suitable for complete beginners and no experience is assumed. However, as we’ll be using sharp knives, the class is for over 18s only. All tools and wood will be provided, though for those of you bitten by the carving bug, the tools will be available for purchase at the end of the session. Coffee, tea and homemade cake are included too, to keep energy levels up! “A wonderful workshop. Ellie was helpful and encouraging. Delighted with my spoon” Isabelle
