Guided by Hannah, you’ll uncover your unique stitching style learning how to layer scraps of reclaimed fabric, vintage buttons and trims to craft one-of-a-kind treasures. By the end of the course, you’ll not only have created a beautiful piece of stitched artwork but also a functional needle book to house your newfound passion. So, take a pause from the hustle and bustle of life, and join us on a journey of self-discovery through the art of slow stitching. Tutor: Hannah Cutler has been a textile upcycler and sewing teacher since 2005. She has a passion for reducing textile waste and empowering people to repair their clothes. Viewing visible repair as a form of textile art, she believes that everyone is able to use this technique to make their loved clothes last. Remember the most sustainable outfit is one you already own! All proceeds from our events and holidays are ploughed directly back into managing our 40 acre nature reserve. What's included in the price?

Face to face teaching, tools & equipment, light refreshments. Materials: You are welcome to bring your own sewing kit, threads and fabric scraps to use or else rootle around in Hannah’s wonderful stash and pay a materials cost of £5 on the day.
