Sew Your Own Pyjama Bottoms in the Lake District

X

Description

Fancy giving dressmaking a go? Then come and join Lucy from Sew Cumbria and start your dressmaking journey by sewing your very own pair of PJ bottoms. With the option of an elasticated or drawstring waistband, there are no fiddly fastenings or zips! You will have the option of making your PJ bottoms either as a long, full length pair (perfect for winter PJs or lounge pants) or as shorts (for warmer summer nights). During this workshop Lucy will take you through each of the stages of sewing your PJ bottoms – taking accurate measurements, selecting your pattern size, and altering your pattern accordingly, cutting your fabric and of course construction! You will also learn how to modify the pattern further to give even more variations, including adding pockets. You will be using the Jaimie Bottoms pattern from the award winning Tilly & the Buttons. The sizes available are UK sizes 4- 34. You do need some sewing machine experience, but not necessarily dressmaking experience.
