Reduction Printing Workshop / Gweithdy Argraffu Lleihau gyda / with Beth Knight
Description
This workshop is an introduction for beginners to the 'reduction' method of printing multiple colour layers, giving students an understanding of the step by step process and the tools and materials required. Beth will guide students through the process of turning an image into a 2 colour lino cut print. Students are advised to bring a box or folder to transport their prints home safely. Finished prints will be around 15 x 20cm. Old clothes or an apron are advised to save getting good clothes inky! All necessary tools and materials will be provided including a range of suitable image designs. This course is generously funded by The Hugo Burge Foundation. For a multitude of reasons the world is not always a fair and balanced place. With that in mind, we recognise the economic disparity present and want to help remove financial barriers to learning. We can offer free places for those who are facing financial hardship. Our definition of financial hardship is those who are finding it hard to meet essential everyday costs such as food and shelter, those who may rely on benefits or who have been long term unemployed. To request a free ticket, please reach out via the 'message the tutor' button and outline why you are eligible. // Mae'r gweithdy hwn yn gyflwyniad i ddechreuwyr i'r dull 'lleihau' o argraffu haenau lliw lluosog, gan roi dealltwriaeth i fyfyrwyr o'r broses gam wrth gam a'r offer a'r deunyddiau sydd eu hangen. Bydd Beth yn tywys myfyrwyr drwy'r broses o droi delwedd yn brintiad toriad lino lleihau 2 liw. Cynghorir myfyrwyr i ddod â blwch neu ffolder i gludo eu printiau adref yn ddiogel. Bydd printiau gorffenedig tua 15 x 20cm. Cynghorir dillad hen neu ffedog i arbed cael dillad da wedi'i staenio ag inc! Darperir yr holl offer a deunyddiau angenrheidiol gan gynnwys amrywiaeth o ddyluniadau delwedd addas. Mae'r cwrs hwn wedi'i ariannu'n hael gan Sefydliad Hugo Burge. Am lu o resymau nid yw'r byd bob amser yn lle teg a chytbwys. Gyda hynny mewn golwg, rydym yn cydnabod yr anghydraddoldeb economaidd sy'n bresennol ac eisiau helpu i gael gwared ar rwystrau ariannol i ddysgu. Gallwn gynnig lleoedd am ddim i'r rhai sy'n wynebu caledi ariannol. Ein diffiniad o galedi ariannol yw'r rhai sy'n ei chael hi'n anodd talu costau hanfodol bob dydd fel bwyd a lloches, y rhai a allai ddibynnu ar fudd-daliadau neu sydd wedi bod yn ddi-waith yn y tymor hir. I ofyn am docyn am ddim, cysylltwch â ni trwy'r botwm 'negesu'r tiwtor' ac amlinellwch pam eich bod yn gymwys.
