The timid Green Woodpecker with its striking red crown can often be seen climbing up trees. Many of our needle felters have been asking Cecily Kate to bring this iconic British bird to life, so without delay she has drummed up a wonderful woodpecker workshop to teach you how to needle felt this beautiful bird so you can better appreciate its magnificence and take home your very own creation! With our first successful Green Woodpecker workshop under our belt we are sure you'll agree from the results it's a workshop worth attending! What you will learn: How to wrap wool How to create a core shape for the body and head How to create symmetrically patterned wings and tail feathers How to observe reference material and follow a template How to bring the eyes to life using wool alone (no glass eyes) How to mount you woodpecker on a branch Accessibility: Please note that most courses are held upstairs.
