Description

Spring into Summer and discover how to make an adorable realistic ’Strawberry Mouse’ with the expert guidance of Cecily Kate, from Art Felt Fibres. Ideal for all abilities Cecily Kate will guide you through basic and intermediate felting skills, including how to use the needles, blend colours, sculpt and wrap wool in order to create this beautiful wee mouse. During this workshop you will learn: How to form the core mouse shape - a great skill for needle felting other small creatures How to wrap simple wire for your mouse's arms, feet and tail How to use a template to keep your mouse in proportion. How to needle felt layers of authentically coloured wool so you can breathe life into your mouse How to tightly wrap wool to easily create a juicy looking strawberry If there is time you will also learn how to modify the design and make a sleeping baby mouse.

All materials, wool, template, needles, needle tool and 100% wool pad provided. Plus a delicious lunch made by Alison on the premises and freshly baked cakes from her The Oast Bakery. You take home your adorable needle felted semi-realistic Mouse & Strawberry plus the skills to scale your mice down to make a perfectly proportioned mouse family, if you wish!
