About the Course

Lime Pointing: introductory one day course at Lincoln Castle.

Learn how to point with Lime!

On this one day course you’ll gain an understanding of why we use lime in historic buildings, the different applications of lime and how to mix lime mortar and wash. Our focus will be on the practical elements of working with lime. You’ll get hands-on and have a go at pointing a wall with lime mortar, including prepping joints, placing mortar, finishing and aftercare. This course is suitable for homeowners, professionals and contractors.

This course is suitable for beginners age 16 +. Please wear work clothes that you don't mind getting dirty/damaged and sturdy shoes, hard toe capped where possible.
