Description
Step into a full day of considered, immersive making as you create a beautifully detailed illuminated paper village, built layer by layer and brought to life with soft internal lighting. This workshop is designed as a complete creative experience, allowing you the time, space and guidance to produce a substantial and highly finished piece. Throughout the day, you will construct around 30 individual buildings, including houses, shops, community buildings and distinctive landmark structures. Each element is carefully assembled using high-quality papers and templates, with attention given to proportion, balance and visual flow as your village grows. Rather than rushing to an end result, the workshop is paced to allow you to enjoy the process and refine details as you work. Once your buildings are complete, you will bring them together into a layered village scene, learning how to arrange depth, elevation and spacing to create a strong overall composition. Soft internal lighting is then added, transforming the village into a warm, atmospheric display that highlights architectural details and creates a sense of quiet magic. To complete your scene, you will add trees and scenic elements that give character and cohesion to the village. These finishing touches enhance the storytelling quality of the piece, turning it into a decorative artwork rather than a simple craft project. This workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced makers alike. No prior experience is needed, and all techniques are clearly demonstrated, making the day both accessible and richly rewarding. The focus is on quality, enjoyment and creating a piece you will be proud to display. By the end of the day, you will take home a substantial, fully illuminated paper village, along with the skills and confidence to continue developing similar projects in your own time.
