Layered Wood & Acrylic Jewellery Level: Beginners and Beyond Stack, shape and shine — sustainably! Create a bold, contemporary piece of jewellery in this eco-conscious workshop, working with reclaimed wood, reclaimed acrylic and 100% recycled silver. Using carefully selected offcuts from sustainably sourced wood, you’ll discover how leftover materials can be transformed into elegant, refined forms, while transparent and opaque acrylic offcuts add a gem-like quality and confident pops of colour. You’ll explore stacking, shaping and finishing techniques to build your design into smooth, pebble-like curves or crisp, graphic geometries, suitable for pendants, earrings or beads. This workshop celebrates thoughtful making and modern design, showing how reclaimed materials can sit comfortably within a polished, contemporary aesthetic. Finish your piece by pairing it with a brightly coloured cord, a sterling silver chain, or silver ear wires — choosing the combination that best complements your design. What to bring: We’ll provide everything you will need for your acrylic and wood Workshop, including enough reclaimed wood, acrylic, cord and silver to make a pendant and earrings, with additional materials available to purchase on the day. A sketch/notebook plus a pen/pencil for notes could come in handy for this workshop Please bring along glasses and/or a visor if you need them Wear appropriate clothing for a studio environment including closed-toe shoes. Why not order a CSSJ apron to make you feel right at home in your workshop? If you would like to be prepared ahead of time we have prepared a Wood and Acrylic Pinterest board full of inspiration and tips. Tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided throughout the day
