Description
Sun 12 April Level: Suitable for Beginners Join us for a relaxed and friendly copper cuff workshop and spend a creative day crafting yourself a piece of statement jewellery. Use our rolling mill, hammers, and punches to create texture and pattern on your sheet of copper before forming it to complete your cuff. We’ll teach you how to measure and size your copper for a perfect fit, and provide top tips for a professional quality finish. Copper has been used in jewellery for thousands of years, and many people believe it has natural healing or medicinal properties, said to promote wellbeing and balance—making it a meaningful as well as a beautiful material to work with. Enough copper to experiment on and make your finished bangle is included in the price of your workshop, and you can purchase silver on the day if you’d like to make something extra special. Your tutor can assist you with your choice of material on the day and work out a price based on the current silver prices. This is a great introductory class for complete beginners, but also a great add-on skill for more experienced jewellers, and a great opportunity to make the most of our extensive tools and equipment. You’ll leave at the end of the day with your completed cuff in either copper or Sterling silver, and the skills and confidence to go on making.
