Introduction to Punch Needle at a Touch of Craft

Description

Create your own punch needle artwork using a wide variety of different colours and textures. Start with a practice with four different types of punch needle tool and 3 different types of fabric. You can use this whole time to practice and become a pro at the technique on different materials or you can focus on finishing one piece. If you've caught the bug and can't wait to keep going there'll be a variety of tools available to buy so you can keep going at home. This workshop will take place at a Touch of Craft- a new craft space in Ossett! Sadly this space is not wheelchair accessible but I do run this workshop in other more accessible spaces. Drinks are available to purchase for £1, you're welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks too. Course conditions: The workshop needs minimum numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn't meet this the workshop will be cancelled. Your booking is secured by payment and if you choose to cancel you get a refund up to 7 days before the event however after that no refund can be given. There will be hand sanitiser available and spaces will be limited. If you feel unwell, have symptoms of covid or have been in contact with anyone who has please let me know so you can be moved onto a future session. If we go into another lockdown this workshop will be postponed until a safe date.

Travelling workshops run by Kim Searle (BA Hons Textile Crafts). Sessions are based on encouraging sustainability - mostly working across West Yorkshire, South Devon, Dorset and Hampshire and the surrounding areas, but willing to travel. Workshops are run with a relaxed, informal and inclusive atmosphere, letting people go at their own pace. Materials, guidance and technical assistance are provided but everyone is encouraged to push their own creativity, and most of all have a good time!
