Description

Create your own foraging basket from locally foraged materials.   These beautiful little baskets are ideal for foraging for a variety of wild items such as berries and nuts. On this one day course you will learn about the materials to be used and how to process them. We will then look at the different elements of the basket; handle, rim and ribs. Starting point will be forming the handle and rim and then joining them together using the ‘god-eye method, before adding the ribs. Then we will weave the material in to form the actual basket. This workshop will run from 9.30am to 4.30pm at our Craft Studio near Marlborough. We will take a half an hour for lunch, which you can enjoy alongside the canal also you will have the opportunity to visit the craft shop.
