Exploring Collage with Sarah Holloway

X

Description

Come and make mixed media collage in the Old Dairy, a converted barn at Ceridwen Centre. This is a gorgeous, relaxing venue on an organic farm. Explore line, texture, colour, tone, shape and pattern, either creating a theme for your collage or purely enjoy experimenting with different textures. Materials and equipment provided are as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible. Adhesion methods will include glue, wire and stitch, the latter two also as a form of texture and mark making. There will be plenty of time and space for creative focus, as well as to learn new skills or develop and practice skills already familiar to you. The day will be experimental and fun, using our imaginations to create unique and expressive collages. We would love you to join us!

What's included in the price?

A delicious organic lunch and refreshments will be included as part of the day. There will also be an array of materials provided, including paper, magazines, recycled fabric, threads, buttons, metal shims, wooden printing letter blocks, ink pads, watercolour paints and more. You are welcome to bring any materials of your own that you would like to use and that are personal to you, such as magazine cuttings, memorabilia and found/natural objects. You may like to bring a poem or a favourite quote to include within your imagery.
