Doll making course with Dalston Dolls - live online tuition on Thursday evenings



This is a five week course, on Thursday evenings (6-8pm) starting 22 April, finishing 20 May. Held on Zoom plus Whatsapp q&a support throughout.

On this course you will create a handmade waldorf doll (slim doll shape) in a choice of skin and eye colours, using all natural materials including organic stuffing wool. We will shape the head with tubular bandage and binding string, sew on the face fabric with minimal wrinkles, embroider the simple features and sew the hair into a crocheted cap.

You will be well supported in a small group led by an experienced doll maker and teacher of over 30 similar workshops. Beginners are welcome.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

There will be 10 hours of teaching time.
You will be sent a parcel with all materials included except for yarn for your doll's hair which you should choose and buy yourself.
We use clean organic UK wool for stuffing, good quality cotton tricot for skin fabric and natural materials throughout.
You will come away with a finished doll but clothes will need to be either purchased or made later, basic doll clothes patterns can be provided.
